You appreciated an end boss that was just more platforming? You appreciated a satisfying thematic end to the story and character arcs being negated by 10 minutes of extraneous repetitive gameplay that forced you to undo everything you had done in the game up to then?

Well that just cut my game time in half thenOf course it will be a shame to miss the beautiful scenery when it's green and living... I now have all four powers, half of the third area and all of the fourth area to complete.
I didn't really consider it backtracking since it looked completely different; going through the corrupted world and then the healed world is like two different levels. Also you only need like half of the orbs to get all four powers, so it's not like you have to go out of your way for them.

It may get a graphical overhaul, but the level design doesn't change. Prince of Persia is pretty much a puzzle game -- once you know the sequence of moves to get passed an obstacle you can easily do it again. Being asked to repeat every single level in a puzzle game is simply ridiculous. It's bad game design.
There isn't even any new challenges. You just repeat the same moves you did the first time through the game while poking into every nook and cranny trying to find orbs that should have been there the first time.
