Primeval Series 3 (Spoilers)

How much do I love Primeval, let me count the ways. :)

The CGI/live action interaction has improved greatly since last series.

Sarah Page is a brilliant addition. Cheeky and fun. :)
I love the direction of anomalies explaining some of the legends of history, too.

And I have to wonder how many times Hannah Spearitt has wished she could use the "Rex as an alarm clock" trick. That had me rolling.

ill agree with that

I must be the only one who thinks the actors are cardboard cutouts and the dialogue is truly, truly dire.

It's fantastic to find ways to be unique. :)

I totally thought Jenny was turning into Claudia too.

And was Hannah trying to look like a boy? That's an incredibly stern haircut she gave herself.

I want to see an episode where a person a Roman Soldier for instance or a Viking, or an astronaut from the future comes through one of the anomolies.

I can never seem to concentrate on Primeval when it's on...I start watching it, and slowly drift into doing other things. As a result, I can never remember exactly what any given episode (or indeed, the show as a whole) is about, and therefore I don't know if I like or dislike the show...

Tonight's episode had a beastie with sharp teeth that crawled on stuff, that bloke from Lock Stock was a rozzer, a glowy thing glowed, a girl in a red coat was doing something, and a lass with short blond hair looked up a chimney.

See?

:D

^ I know what you mean, there's some shows I just can't concentrate on, and think "wtf did I just watch?" when it's over.

That was the first time we saw an anomaly open wasn't it? And there was an interesting little shift in the usual tone of the show, maybe slightly more serious tone than usual, I'm not sure, maybe it was just an attempt at creepy?
Next week's ep looks to be interesting, the sort of thing you'd expect to be at the end of the series.

I thought that to, god only knows what Helen is planning with Cutters DNA, I assume some sort of clone, I had assumed her solider guy was jut taking from different time lines, but maybe they are clones made using future tec.

and yeah I think they were going to for creepy in this episode, im not so sure I like how fun episodes of Primeval generally are, and at the start I was expecting Sam & Dean to show up.

I think "Fun" is something we don't often get in British dramas in general, in sci-fi in particularly. We usual go for dark and depressing. Which I think is great in most cases, but I think it's nice to have a fun show for a change.
I know Doctor Who is generally fun, but Doctor Who is Doctor Who, and a special case.

As long as Abby is in her underwear at least once a season, I'll watch this show religiously.

I watched the denouement more by accident than design. It was as dire as usual. Three of the 'task force' with weapons aimed at the beastie and not one fired. All they did was girn and squirm to the camera. Then the big bad cop suddenly plugs it 18 times. Pathetic.

This was one of the weaker episodes - typical because it was the episode I decided to show my partner who has never seen an episode of "Primeval" before.

His view of the show is pretty bad now!

Oh and I will reiterate from last week - that new girl is the new Deanna - she looks EXACTLY like Marina Sirtis!!!

A nice, scary little haunted house piece. Not bad. And that house was actually quite gorgeous! Jenny and Abby bonding over the fact that they're both after men who won't make the first move?

I have it on good authority that next week is going to be a jaw-dropper. Definitely looking forward to it.

And all the while I was asking myself why the new 'guns and muscle' guy wasn't sent there with them instead of just lounging around the Ark.

Because they didn't expect to find anything since it was just a guess on Cutter's part... But yeah, you'd think they'd always have a "guns and muscle" guy with them.

I wonder if SciFi will catch up to show this new season in the Fall. Probably not. But I can't wait to see some new stuff. I only glanced at some of the posts here not wanting to be too spoiled.
