Preview of the new Tom Baker Audios

Well that...sucks. I expected the Big Finish series to be like the four-parts-with-cliffhnagers of the 70s.

They usually are but for some reason they've gone for the hour format previously used for some of the McGann stories for this run.

Something Fielding said in the CD extras for Hexagora lead me to think that she's no longer an agent.

There will kinda be some four-parters, when BF strings two single-disc releases into one big story. The Trail of the White Worm and The Oseidon Adventure at the end of the season will do that.

I'm surprised John Levene hasn't done any stories. I know he lives in America right now, but so does Bonnie Langford (and rumor has it she's returning soon to record more).

They've both been back in the UK for the last six months or so in fact, John has to look after his mother. Both have put in a few appearances on the signing circuit here.

Bonnie and Sylvester missed being able to do the Dragonfire commentary by a matter of weeks...

John has certainly been asked.

I'm also disappointed that Jackie Lane has refused to do any stories. I started a thread at Gallifrey Base last year asking why she hasn't done any and the general consensus is that, while she'll do the conventions now and then,

Jackie will do signings (and then only with one company) but she doesn't do interviews.

She was the last one I had to get to cross off my met classic companions list :D

They are two part stories (like some of the other McGann's!) so do have a cliffhanger half way. Dare it be Tom Baker is a little bit more expensive to employ than the others?

Richard Franklin also appeared as the villain Romulo Nusek in Professor Bernice Summerfield: Dragons' Wrath, which is probably the worst thing that BF has ever done.

He also appeared as Davros' father, in I, Davros which is probably the best thing BF have ever done.

As for worst... well they did a few comedies they like to forget about!

I can well imagine Tom Baker costs more than the other Doctor Who actors doing Big Finish.

He was the hardest one to get signed, so he is the most expensive one to boot.

Makes sense to me.
