But is it really necessary to split the seasons up like this? Could they not just say go through the twenty SGU episodes, then the twenty Caprica episodes? After all, that to me makes more sense than ten SGU, ten Caprica, another ten SGU, another ten Caprica.

That second trailer looks promising, I have to say. Hopefully, they can come up with an interesting direction to take the show in in 1.5.
The aliens look fairly interesting enough - at least they're not just humans in weird costumes this time. We'll see how well that plays out in reality though.
Anyone else watching Telford saying 'they're coming through the gate and you're in danger!' and thinking 'replicators'? I hope to God I'm just paranoid on that count. Replicators would be the point I dropped this show for good.

I'm pretty sure Telford is referring to the new aliens.

Replicators won't show up until the third season. After all, they were introdced on SG-1 in its third, and Altantis in its third, why would SGU be any different?
