Presidents were more interesting in the past. The system we have now just leaves us with generic figureheads.

Is it too much to ask for a President who is willing to walk around on the front lawn of the White House naked and smoking a pipe while wearing a tinfoil hat and a bowtie?

We're all (well, most of us) aware of that, but if you look at him, he's "black". And even at only 50% black, that's still 50% more than any previous president, so it's still notable.

And I'm not the one drawing pictures of him as an African witch doctor, or calling him a secret Kenyan out to destroy America. I'm one of the hippy-dippy liberals that would love for humanity to drop the color labels and just call ourselves "humans".

I just want to make it clear that I only point out his "blackness" at this time since it is pretty historically and culturally significant.

Grover Cleveland was completely ignored by my history teachers, so, yeah, it probably qualifies as obscure (meaning not widely known).

That's something I wished history teachers did. There's always talk about Washington, Lincoln and the two Roosevelts, but they never brought up some of the more lesser known presidents. They should have at least brought up one fact about the others, including poor Cleveland. Heck, I wouldn't mind learning about Millard Fillmore a bit more.

Millard Fillmore's name is always the first to be mentioned whenever the topic of obscure presidents comes up. So at least he's famous for being obscure.

In all fairness, a president can't get away with skinny dipping in the Potomac these days without CNN and Fox News popping up to capture images. John Quincy Adams didn't have to worry he'd end up on YouTube. The tends to curtail "interesting" behavior.
