Prequel to A Time to Stand

I just finished watching DS9 episode of "A Time to Stand" (to recap, Sisko and company use a captured JemHadar ship into Dominion/Cardassian territory and destroy a valuable stockpile of Ketracel White.)

I remember the throw away from Admiral Ross saying how the Federation captured a JemHadar ship got me to thinking of Star Wars and Rogue One how the Rogue One movie was based on the Mon Mothma throw away line how the rebels got the Death Star Plans thanks to the Bothan spies.

I thought was a good idea was to come up with the prequel to the episode of how the JemHadar ship was captured -- either by characters we know (i.e. Perhaps with the help of Picard and Company), or just new characters. Thought it is a cool idea.

Your thoughts?

The prequel to that episode was already told, on Deep Space Nine, it was called The Ship. Ross said it was the same ship that Sisko capture the year before meaning it was the same Jem'Hadar ship. Sorry to burst your bubble, but I just watched DS9 earlier this year, and remembered that detail.

Dang, and here I thought I'd have a good story, someone beat me too it!

That doesn't preclude you writing an alternate version with this idea. You're not under contract to stick to canon, after all.
