"Predators" will be kicking ass

So does Predators refer to there being more than one predator from outerspace... or that there are different types of predators, like a serial killer, an alien, a Russian Ops guy, a female killer and a mercenary.

Adrien Brody? Topher Grace?? That stupid non-glamorous girl from I Am Legend??? Emo-dad from 4400 Mahershahalabaz Ali????? :rolleyes: Guess I did speak too soon! None of them have any "action star" written on their foreheads! Absolutely none! Guess they were all severely cheap to get and the budget is being blown on SFX and such.

And from someone who has seen more footage...

Unlike either of the two prior 'canon' films - this isn't a film made up of an established team used to working with each other. And next, you'll notice the tone. It has a weight. A seriousness that feels scary. 5 warriors from a variety of backgrounds wake up in a strange locale. They learn that each was a member of an elite killing force. Black ops, Yakuza, Special Forces, etc. Quickly they realize, they're not in Kansas anymore. You get the feeling something could be hunting them. Then you see a Predator with a roaring hellhound looking critter - that isn't really a Predapuppy, but a whole different kinda of critter. Something mean and scary. You'll see that Adrian Brody is no longer even close to be lanky. That he's bulked up in the fittest manner you can imagine. One of the things you'll notice is that these trailers are made up of practical real things. You'll see things caught in real light and shadow and it looks fantastic. The jungle stuff isn't at all LOST-y, tall thin trees with white bark and a fog or mist or smoke in the air. This jungle looks like a place where bad shit is the norm.

My anticipation for this film is rising. Looks like they might finally be doing it right. We're supposed to get a trailer on 3/18 from http://www.predators-movie.com/
 
Meh... Not that impressive. My expectations are tempered, but I will of course be seeing the film.

Of course it is not easy to follow in Avatar's footsteps - when your film takes place in an alien jungle. But the final shots should of course look much better.
 
I guess I spoke too soon again in Oct. This looks FUCKING AWESOME!! :D The scene where the laser sighters start popping up on Adrian Brody is just LOLLY!
 
Looks awesome from that sneak peak. Being a fan of the original Predator, I can't wait for this movie :drool:
 
Looks much better than the earlier clip... But still, some of the characters just seem like silly ideas.

And what was Adrien Brody's character good at?
 
Yeah, after Avatar, I'm just not getting the "alien jungle" vibe. Damn, that movie raised the bar high.
 
I haven't had great expectations for this, but I'll admit, that trailer looks kind of cool.
