*Potential Spoilers* What will the Alternate Enterprise-A look like

Short and sweet flyby of Alexander Klemm's (nightfever) Enterprise-A. This is just one shot to a larger project, but I thought I'd share. Looped for your enjoyment.

Truly incredible work! Would love to see more as it progresses. Absolutely love your style, and Alexander Klemm's killer model.

i just rewatched this, have to say that camera move is excellent.

I'm so used to seeing curved pylons, those straight, wide ones just look weird now:lol:

It's because the neck and the secondary hull of the ship are so overly curvy, the straight lines of the nacelle pylons clash with the overall aesthetics of the rest of the ship. Personally, I dislike the strangely formed neck much more. Really, the Kelvin-A (and the Beyond-refit) are my least favourite variants of the Constitution class. I like all others - the original, the refit, the JJprise, the DISCO-prise (in this order), I'd put ALL of them above pretty much every other starhip. But those two? I hate them with a passion.

Awesome work, as always. I hope we get to see her fly on the big screen one day.

Fuck, yes! @PixelMagic 's work with the models is a-friggin-mazing!
I got all teary-eyed from his 'tribute to TNG'-video:

just got the eaglemoss magazine for the star trek beyond enterprise refit. it does not have concept art for the refit herself — apparently none was created and the entire redesign was done as the digital model was being built (it’s a new model, not the same one inherited from ILM that they used for pre-viz and a few trailer shots).

but the magazine does include these images of the enterprise-A under construction by double negative:

this gives a better look at the nacelle pylons which were changed between hargreaves' concept art and the finished starship. and i think it’s the first time i’ve seen the actual digital asset outside the film itself.

Very cool. I have seen the completed ship digital asset outside the film, but not this construction one. That's really fun to look at, and I wish I could look at the actual 3d asset and spin all around it. :)

Heh... There probably aren’t many PCs out there that have the kind of horsepower needed to render a monster like that in real time to be able to spin around it and walk through it.

Awesome! These are the shots I've wanted to see. I wish I could zoom right in.

I'd also kill for a similar look at the under construction model from the Riverside shipyard in ST'09.
