Short and sweet flyby of Alexander Klemm's (nightfever) Enterprise-A. This is just one shot to a larger project, but I thought I'd share. Looped for your enjoyment.

Or the distant, echo-y version of the TOS bridge viewscreen sound. All it needs is a Pine voice over
Captain's log - Stardate 2265.43 etc.......

Needs more flare. I can still see the ship clearly.Animation work in progress. Pew pew pew. Not sure if I have enough flare.
I'm so used to seeing curved pylons, those straight, wide ones just look weird now![]()
Awesome work, as always. I hope we get to see her fly on the big screen one day.
just got the eaglemoss magazine for the star trek beyond enterprise refit. it does not have concept art for the refit herself — apparently none was created and the entire redesign was done as the digital model was being built (it’s a new model, not the same one inherited from ILM that they used for pre-viz and a few trailer shots).
but the magazine does include these images of the enterprise-A under construction by double negative:

this gives a better look at the nacelle pylons which were changed between hargreaves' concept art and the finished starship. and i think it’s the first time i’ve seen the actual digital asset outside the film itself.

The guy who designed it said it's 2500ft.That's a lot of decks. From this, we may now finally get a good idea of the true size of the ship.
