*Potential Spoilers* What will the Alternate Enterprise-A look like

Not bad- kinda looks like something Starfleet would have done if they could not afford to "refit" the Enterprise for TMP to the extent that they did. Really liked the music as well.........

Thanks guys - here's a quick blend as requested. If this is what we'll be getting with the Nu-Ent-A then in all honesty it'll be my second favourite after the original 1701-refit/1701-A.

Until we get more pics or more official info this is as close as we will get. Great work!

I'm just loving the size of the people walking on the saucer, more like the scale we saw in the construction teaser trailer. It's kind of a nice full circle to that.

As an aside, I love that they included the honeycomb-looking spotlights from the TMP drydock in the construction bay. Nice touch.
It was indeed. That whole sequence was just cool to watch. I wonder if someone out there will slow down the construction to what we could assume to be actual speed to find out approximately how long it took them to build her.

The speed of the plot?

Nah, I'd say a little over a year though.

Overall, I'm really liking the design so far. I like how they've stretched the secondary hull and flattened it out on the front so that at certain angles the new deflector almost looks integrated like the original refit rather than external, even though it still is. I'm liking the angle of the Connecting Dorsal (neck) too. The shape and spread of the nacelle pylons is greatly improved and the nacelles way more streamlined. And the angle of the saucer rim is perfect. It might just be because of the angle, but it almost looks like the new saucer is smaller in diameter. I think they fixed her in all the right places.

Well, I must confess: visually speaking, I still prefer the Beyond Enterprise (with swept-back nacelles) that gets destroyed by the swarm.

The Ent-A just doesn't do it for me, I'm afraid...

There! I've said it! :techman: Great to get that off my chest!

Granted: I'm open to changing my mind - perhaps, when more pics / schematics come out, I'll change my opinion, but thus far, I'm just not feeling it, as far as the A is concerned.

Yes, I agree with the Beyond refit with the slimmer swept back nacelles. Looked lovely.

It's funny, but in my opinion the Beyond version of Ryan Church's design is even uglier than the one seen in the first two films, but it looks very elegant in motion. I guess I like my Enterprise to look good on paper and in motion, something the A appears to do.

I don't know if it was the redesign or the way it was shot, but the STB Enterprise looked way better to me than the previous version, which looked like a TONKA toy to me.

Hmmmm.........JJ Abrams is roughly my age......I played with Tonkas.......so he probably played with Tonkas too...........hmmmmm.

Me thinks I see a pattern.

Just an idea....
