Postal to open in four theaters; Uwe Boll criticizes you.

Well, I actually saw Postal last summer, at FrightFest in London, and I'm a little surprised that it's only opening in four theatres.

Maybe it was the friendly and forgiving festival atmosphere, but I didn't think it was an awful film. By which I mean, it wasn't great, or even particularly good: just not awful. Some of it--not most of it, but some of it--was actually funny.

The major studios take regular dumps in theatres across the country: in fact, they distribute manure like Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo so widely, you'd think they were trying to fertilize the nation's lawns. So I don't understand why distributors would balk at Postal.

Well, he was bound to get one of them right eventually.

^ Boll's also claimed that directors like Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg are making fake accounts so they can keep signing the petition. Because, you know, they're just so fearful of his competition.

Bay may make "leave your brain at the door" aka popcorn flicks but they are 10000000000000000000000000000 better Boll's house of the dead or name of the king (all his films ever)

great comment from boll on youtube

Classic

Boll should stop making movies and become a standup comedian/performance artist. That seems to be what he's doing, anyway.

Are there sites that list box office grosses past the top 50? Because Postal's opening weekend didn't make that list.

In 5 weeks it looks like it took in about 81 thousand Euros in Germany plus another 2600 from a week in Austria. No numbers on IMDB from America yet though.

But that's what? Less than $100,000 American? On a $20,000,000 Canadian dollar budget.

The best part is that Uwe just doesnt get it. He cant fathom why the world hates his films. I've never before encountered someone who had their head stuck so far down into the sand.

Bloodrayne was a very painful experience to watch (I couldn't even get through the whole movie, it was THAT bad). Only Uwe Boll could take Kristanna Loken getting naked and make it feel really unsexy and boring. What's sad is that the awfulness of Bloodrayne is just par for the course for Boll. He claims each film he makes is 10 times better than the last one, but 10 times zero is still zero.

For a good example of Boll at work, read the on-set writeup from the writers of Alone in the Dark.

200 people walk out of a FREE screening of Postal in New Jersey!!!
Approximately 200 theatergoers walked out of a free Postal screening in New Jersey last Friday. While Hoboken Mayor David Roberts refused to attend the screening, he stated that he did not like the film's 9/11-style attack gag and added that it was "too soon to mock a plane going into the World Trade Center."
Its so bad and offending they aren't even sitting through it for free!

^ I think these people fell right into Boll's hands. He'll just say, "Look at how controversial this movie is. It's right up there with Blue Velvet, The Last Temptation of Christ, A Clockwork Orange and Cruising."

Never mind that some people might've walked out because it's a FREAKING UWE BOLL MOVIE and they've never seen anything so pathetic or idiotic or poorly-done.
