Post Your Dreams!

I've always been one to remember my dreams and lately I have been having some awesome and crazy ones and I wanted a place to share them. Then I thought about making a thread where we can all post our dreams! No matter how weird or bizarre they are! I believe that the way our minds construct dreams is directly related to whatever issues are currently pressing on our minds. In my personal experience, this has been true and I tried to keep a dream diary for a while but I wasn't diligent enough with it.

Anywho, I thought this could be a fun and silly place where we could share our dreams from the night before or any dream that you remember!

Been having crazy dreams lately, but last night's was particularly memorable.

My dream from last night was odd for me since I'm not an actor:
In the dream, I was trying to head to an audition for a Shakespeare play and the person in charge of auditions was Lucille Ball. But when I finally got to Lucy's office, I realized I didn't have the book I needed and I didn't know which play I wanted to read from. Lucy was agitated but said I could go get the book, but to hurry up. I was nervous that maybe she already decided I wouldn't get the part so I started running so I would make it back to her faster, but then suddenly I was in high school again and I needed a book. I found an American Lit book which for some reason contained the Shakespeare even though Shakespeare is NOT American Lit. But everyone else had a different version of the book so I wasn't sure if mine was the right one. I frantically asked around if my book was the correct one. It was the correct one. I ran back to Lucy when I ran into an old friend who was a Shakespeare aficionado. I asked her what play she thought I should audition for. She mentioned a play I never heard of before about someone falling in love with a handkerchief (dafuq!). Then I auditioned for Lucy in my PAJAMAS for Much Ado About Nothing and it stank.

What in the actual :censored:???? WHAT DOES IT MEAN. Haha

Enjoy!! I love hearing about people's dreams!!!

I had an odd dream where I was in a nursing home, and a remake of ST:TMP was being made on its 100th Anniversary. All CGI to the point the "actors" no longer had the uncanny valley hang up. The old dialog was kept--but all new effects.

Kirk's ship looked more like Enterprise E---and then I woke up.

These are Dreams i enjoyed

A couple of nights ago I had a dream/nightmare in which I moved into a pleasant house in a pretty little village. I was happy until I realised that all the people in the village were people I went to school with. As I have no desire to have anything to do with my former classmates this dream was rather disturbing for me.

I haven't remembered a dream in dcades, and I believe that I don't dream anymore in the accepted manner because I dream all of the time when I am awake.

As for posting these, there isn't enough bandwidth. Lets just say Walter Mitty isn't even in the same multiverse with me.

Lol it's pretty widely accepted that people do dream while in REM sleep regardless of if they are remembered or not.

I couldn't imagine not recalling dreams at least once in a while. ;(

I recently had a dream where one of my students couldn't see black (bizarro colorblindness, I guess) and I was trying to describe it to them.

I remember thinking that it didn't make sense, because I'd only ever heard of red/green and yellow/blue colorblindness. But, I didn't quite realize I was dreaming.

Haven't had one that I could remember in a while. Although, the last one I can recall was creepy.

I once had a dream in which I dreamed in colours that humans couldn't see. I sort of recall the colour but can't describe them.

The thought of not remembering my dreams is weird. There are some of which I remember only fragments, and some that are hard to keep hold of, but many I recall with huge detail, and I remember at least bits of dreams from every night.

Last night's dreams weren't nightmares, but not really the most pleasant subject matter...mostly having to do with kids being abused. There were a lot of surreal and fantastical elements, though, as my dreams nearly always have.

Last night's dream was a random dream about a certain actress. For some reason she was Tinkerbell, and then we were in romantic drama, which looked to be in another dream within a dream. A romantic that was going to win awards.

I don't know if she was actually Tinkerbell in all the various scenes. However, it wouldn't be beyond her, being a fairy and all, if she was able to control her height.

This morning I kept dreaming that I already got up, showered, and went to my job interview. Kept waking up and then redreaming it. Very tiresome.

I rarely remember my dreams, and when I do happen to recall them, they're always too weird and off-the-wall to possibly explain.

But the most 'normal' recurring dream that I seem to have, involves me being back in college. I guess it's part of a subconscious desire to return to a more ordered, structured existence.

I have the same college dream all the time where I get my schedule in the beginning of the semester, then miss the same class all semester because I can't find the classroom. I guess I presumably fail the class but I think I wake up before that happens.

In the Star Trek novel The Final Reflection (I think) we learn that Klingons cannot distinguish between red and black.

I used to have a couple recurring dreams as a kid.

I watched Mr. Boogedy when I was like 3 and it must have scared me, because I kept dreaming I was being chased by Mr. Boogedy while surfing on golden water.

And I also had recurring dreams that I was one of the monsters in My Pet Monster.

Now I only remember random dreams if I happen to binge watch netflix that evening.

I haven't had a proper Star Trek dream now that I think of it. I've had ones where some characters are there especially if I fell asleep with Netflix on.

My ex-bf was passed out asleep one time and I tried to wake him up. I asked him if he knew who I was and he mumbled "Janeway" LOL.
