Post Your Dreams Thread

Yeah the one I used to go to the cozy one had lots of comfy chairs and lights you could use near them to read a book, they were never fussy about people just sitting there looking at the books or reading them, and yeah 10pm was the usual closing time which if you were engrossed was a kind of scary time to walk through the city to get a bus home. I was kind of heartbroken when they closed.

Yeah, that really sucks. I'd have enjoyed having a cozy little place like that near me.

Yeah it did, and the only way I found out was visiting there and there was a small note taped to the door mentioning the closure, which felt worse because they were fairly well known where we live and I think were pretty popular against some of the more mainstream brick and mortar bookstores. They didn't even have a closing down sale with cheap books, which had they done that I would have fricking loved and bought all the books I could..

I had another airplane dream the other night. I was on a domestic or international flight with a group of people. The pilot was Leslie Jones from Saturday Night Live. As we were taking off, we passed over an urban landscape at a very low altitude - buildings, city streets, cars - just 30 feet above ground. I watched in awe as the plane flew over a tall overpass, wondering if we were going to hit the structure. Luckily, we didn't, thanks to Captain Leslie Jones. :)

That reminds me of one I had a few years back. I was standing atop a school bus as it roared down a freeway at 60 or so. And I remembered that I was the driver of said bus... and I realized that with me up there, no one was driving...

Had a dream where TrekBBS legend Jethro Elvis invited me to join his new message board. It was named the "Old Geezers' Forum" and had a note on the front page saying you have to be over 45 to join (apparently the age you become an old geezer, according to my brain.) I told him I was five years too young to join, but he said it was fine. He was in my bedroom talking to me at this point, rather than being on the screen. It was quite erotic.

Has anyone used a free recording app to see what noises you make during sleep? I've been looking at what's available but still haven't tried any. The one's that look 'totally free' seem limited and would be hard to cycle through hours of recording so maybe it's worth a small outlay for a trial period if it's easy to playback key moments.

I had a kind of post-apocalyptic dream. Overall the landscape was kind of parched, semi-desert, with most of the action taking place in kind of an industrial-looking city. I had an encampment there where I was working on mechanical stuff. I walked to another part of this town, or whatever you want to call it, to get some parts or gas for my vehicle. On the way back, I found the road was blocked by some ruffians who were arguing and looked like they were about to get into a fight. So I walked down a slope to my right, with the idea of taking the long way around to get back to my encampment. Instead, I ended up in some dark underground tunnels/caverns, balancing myself on some pipes that were above the bottom. I got myself turned around a little, and I wasn't sure where to go because it was too dark to see. The next thing I knew, I was walking around above ground with a friend of mine, and we went to check on another friend. Friend #1 asked friend #2 if the software company where he worked had any job openings. Friend #2 said that sometimes when he's feeling lazy, he hires other people to do his projects for him, so he might consider doing that for friend #1 some time. I was wondering how friend #2 could afford to do that. But then I woke up.

Sounds like a Fallout game.

I had one last night... I was in the apartment I lived in for 15 years. And most of my stuff was there, too. Then I realized that I didn't live there anymore and I'd better leave before the current occupants got home. It was weirdly real.

i woke up half an hour ago, last workday before the holidays, welding on a construction site
high up in the mountains. maybe the welding part had something to do with this dream:

-
4 or five (small group) of somewhat overweight insects was flyng slowly around the lightbulb on a floor lamp.
i dont know where i was, but i had observed them several times it seemed like,
and i wasnt really bothered with them. Then, some guy presented an idea of how to get rid of them.

This "some guy" turned out to be an authority on the subject and he knew about another, lager insect,
that he could set on fire (?)!..... and then that burning insect would fly into the small group of the other poor bastards
and set them on fire too... and all of them would fall burning to the ground.

While he was talking about this idea there was a hologram showing what he was talking about so i could see
the whole thing playing out infront of me.

That is wild

I had a dream that I was on a road trip with a friend. We were driving down a highway for quite some time, but the sky was stuck in perpetual twilight. The sun was partially setting, but it never set any further. We stopped at a little town, and there was this bar and grill that was supposed to be famous for its breaded chicken. My friend said he heard that it wasn't actually that great. But we decided to try it anyway. We went in, and there was a lot of wooden furniture and decor. We sat down at a table, and the server brought a big plate of chicken and those waffle-shaped fries. The boneless chicken pieces were really big, and the breading was delicate and crisp. I cut a piece and ate it, and it was really delicious, possibly the best chicken I had ever tasted. Through the windows, I could see that it was still twilight hour. Then I woke up.

I had a dream a few days ago I was with Judge Judy and was asking if I could take a selfie of us. That's all I remember.

Another recent dream I'm in a building sheltering with people from a severe storm and then all of a sudden giant wooden pillars come crashing through the thick concrete walls of the building caused by the high winds and I remember at that point of the dream it felt like I was there and I turn to run towards a fire escape in a futile attempt to escape the damage being caused by an apocalyptic storm but I'm with my parents so I can't leave them. Then I woke up before finding out the damn ending. Thanks a lot my subconscious!

I dreamed last night that I had to give a talk on some subject that I wasn't all that clear on. 2 guys went first, talking about their subject and it was going to be my turn next. I think a grade was riding on this and I was feeling a little unsure but then I woke up. Saved by the alarm.
