Is the saucer circular?

There are some great design elements like the nacelle shapes and the secondary hull. But I'm not digging the needle thin nacelle struts.

The saucer is circular! I’d played with a high ratio squashed oval but it didn’t “swoop” as well. I have elements that will emerge about the saucer that will define it more.

I was thinking that various fields can strengthen cohesion and scatter energies, so the idea of “thickness” of elements may not be a major factor in defensibility. I brought that idea into a more delicate, almost whimsical aesthetic for the pylons.

Personally, I’d add some more depth to the pylons where they meet the nacelles but I LOVE how the leading edge blends into the front of the nacelle.

Thank you both so much! I’ll revisit those lines!

- I like this idea as a look for future design aesthetics. That something seems unfeasible/impractical and yet performs above expectations, to me, says "this is the Future!".
The circular saucer looks great, but I wonder if slightly slimmer nacelles might work more to the futuristic slant? With everything else so slender, I wonder for what reason/s the nacelles appear bulky (although, they're not really - just comparatively)? Anyway, those are just my thoughts. This is your design - do it your way :)

I LOVE how the leading edge blends into the front of the nacelle.
- Me too!
