Post-Fate of the Jedi SW novels

Has anything been announced about any post-FOTJ stories yet? I haven't been able to read alot of the books yet, but I've still been following bits and pieces of what's going on through Wookiepedia, and I was just curious if anything's been said about what plans they have after this series is over. I know they obviously aren't going to release story details until after FOTJ, but I was hoping they'd at least said something about if they were doing another big multi-book series, or stand alones or a trilogy or something like that.

I don't think so. There were panels at SDCC but I think those mostly focused on the remainder of the series as well as a couple other things. Probably wont' get an announcement on what the next series is until Fate concludes.

The closest we have so far is the upcoming Wraith Squadron novel, X-Wing: Mercy Kill, which will take place around the end of FotJ. That comes out in mid-2012 after Apocalypse, so it might stray beyond FotJ

A unnamed duology by Paul S. Kemp has also been announced for 2012 (at least the first novel), but I haven't seen anything other than he is set to write them, no plots or settings or anything like that. Given he's written for the Old Republic and the Legacy era they could be set at anytime.

Other than that the only new stuff I've aware of are the stand-alones Scourge (set pre-NJO) and Mandorla (set in the Old Republic era, before KOTOR) for mid to late 2012.

FOTJ: Apocalypse is set to contain an "extensive excerpt" from book one of the next series. As that article also says, the only other thing known about the next series is that will not be 9 books in length.

^I think alot of people will be glad it's not another 9 book series. One of the biggest complaints I've seen about Legacy of the Force was that it was to long and dragged out.

Do a lot of people in the Star Wars universe suffer from PTSD? Hasn't the whole universe been in some state of war or invasion for the best part of 50 years?

^ That question gets asks a lot and is usually answered with the answer "It's Star Wars, not Star Peace" or something lame like that. There have been periods of peace in the galaxy but it doesn't seem to last as politics and external forces always come into play. I suppose it also has to deal with continuing the franchise and telling stories oh and of course making money from these stories.
