Post a Random Fact About Yourself

Neither have I, but boy let me tell you how much the average D & R thinks that by not voting for their D or R you are actually voting against them, even when I tell them that I literally do not live in a swing state. I'm pretty sure my whole city could vote for Daffy Duck & because NYC votes D it would still go D.

My vote counts for nothing, except the hope that it might count, some day, in my remaining lifetime, towards another party getting a chance in this fixed game show. So I will vote for underdogs the rest of my life, & be fully comfortable that I am not the reason somebody's nightmare politician got elected. Want your vote to count? Move to Florida, & good luck with that

Ok... Random Factoid time. I need to get rid of this desk. I've had it so long the drawers are falling apart

Let me tell ya: I vote Libertarian. Where I used to live, the state Rep position was always contested. I had a D candidate come by to ask for my vote, and I told him I was L. He replied "you guys think the same as us." Then the R candidate came by and said the exact same thing.

you have the liberty to be a democratic republican ;)

Random fact: I got held up by a highwayman yesterday.
He stopped me in an underground crossing and asked whether I was going to the river festival. I said no, I was going home. "You sure you don't want to go to the festival and buy lots of nice things there?", he insisted. - "No, it's too hot today. Maybe I'll go there tomorrow but today I just want to go home where it's shady and cool." I replied.
"Right," he declared, "in this case you needn't pay me for the passage."
I'd have enjoyed chatting a bit longer with such a perfect gentleman but at that moment he got nicked by his dad.

Met my honourable highwayman again today at the festival and treated him (and his warden) to a roundtrip on a genuine water police boat =) The young gentleman (he is 4) is now seriousely considering a career change :D

Is that about American football?

Um, it’s just a reference to his sig and av. I know next to nothing about football, so I’m not even sure what forms the basis of the question?

Ok, well, wait, that whole performance was during a Super Bowl half-time show, right? So I guess maybe it is, tangentially? Since I don’t watch the Super Bowl, I only heard about it because the internet exploded with comments and memes afterwards.

Random fact: not a sports fan.

I never noticed his sig line. I like to practice sports but I hate to watch them.

Which means both are wrong

I have to read a newspaper first, I cannot read a newspaper after someone else has read it, not even the advertisements. I have a very deliberate method to how I take a newspaper apart, which sections I read first and then put it back together like it was never read.

the three old ones are good. I'd recommend the original versions, not the computer-enhanced ones - the enhanced ones have too much contrast and too bright colours (and the inserted CGI sequences are too angular, sorta hard and spiky - imagine a porcupine amidst fluffy bunnies - it'll inevitably stand out as wrong) and thus look artificial whereas the originals have a more organic feeling.
I didn't like episodes I-III at all and therefore omitted watching the latest episodes (VII etc).

^which at the same time tells you another random fact about myself :)

I saw Phantom Menace on the opening night with a small group of friends. The theatre was empty except for us and another small group. I didn’t know it at the time but my future wife was in the other group.

That's cool. I wonder if you two had met then if you would've hit it off.

Wish we had, but we both had other things going on at the time.

We were always destined to meet. She lived in my home town to study before I moved to her home town to study. And she worked behind the bar at my favourite pub for a while before I knew her. And I knew a girl that lived a couple of doors from her parents.

It’s a funny old world init.

I only eat sour apples

Wait... I do eat other things, but when I eat apples, I only eat the sour green ones. Never liked the sweet kind. Granny Smiths all the way

Well, as long as you don't eat sour grapes... (j/k) ;)

Seriously though, I wouldn't eat sour apples on an empty stomach, too much acid, could damage the stomach wall.

I tend to listen to tv more than watch tv. I am usually doing something else at the same time that I'm paying more attention to.

I have something similar, back in 1990 my future wife and I were at the same Depeche Mode concert in Giant Stadium at the Meadowlands in New Jersey. We both saved the ticket stubs and we compared them, I will say I had way better seats.

I'm actually more fond of green grapes too lol

I only eat one green apple a day. I have it in the morning with cornbread, dried pineapple, raisins & cranberries, with some lemon/ginger tea. I'm only guessing, but I'd hazard to say that I'm not likely endangering my stomach? It seems like a pretty benign mash that would be in my stomach as a result
