Inspired after I took an "Experts Only" TOS test at https://whatculture.com/tv/star-trek-tos-experts-only-quiz which turned out to be not all that difficult.

What say we try to begin our own trivia quiz, trying to be as difficult as possible (within reason)? Post a question, and the one who answers it gets to... well, you know how trivia quizzes work.

Ooh OK! I *think* this is only one such instance, so how about, off the top of my head....

Which is the only episode where Scotty is heard off screen only, but with his vocal appearance recycled from a different episode?

Do we do clues, or just wait until someone gets it?

But he is heard off-screen only in all our Yesterdays but that dialogue was of course not recycled

I scored 100 on the website quiz; I've been "in this business" all my life, so no big surprise there. I was afraid the authors would get Zetar wrong and ding me for getting it right, but they got it right.

I have no idea about Methuselah Flint's Scotty voice-only question. That's a good one.

There is an episode with the same exact scenario except with sulu's voice. Where he's heard but doesn't appear in the episode. Pretty sure it's recycled as well.

Good job Grant! I remember the Sulu one, but can't recall the episode...

Okay here's another one. Only two third season episodes were shot Outdoors. That is not on a soundstage. One of them is obvious, but the other is easy to overlook. So what were they?

The Paradise Syndrome and All Our Yesterdays (the street with fencing duel). I'm pretty sure.

    Right.

In production order what was the last episode of the series where a crew member died?

I'd say D'Amato ("That Which Survives"). So, a blueshirt.

Correct his was the last on-screen death. And of course in Requiem for Methuselah Kirk mentions that some crew members have died from the the plague that is afflicting the Enterprise.

I guess I will try another for anybody who's interested.

By my count there were seven Vulcans in the original series who spoke. So we can eliminate background/extras Vulcans from the various episodes. So who were the seven Vulcans? I guess I have to admit that this is a bit of a trick question.

That's easy, I think: Spock, Sarek, T'Pring, T'Pau, Stonn, alternate Spock, and "image of Surak".

That's good. Actually I wasn't counting mirror Spock as a separate Spock but I probably should have. No there's a seventh but it really is ridiculously obscure -- the way I worded my original post is a bit of a hint

The space traffic controller in "Amok Time" spoke but was not seen: "From all of Vulcan, welcome."

Henoch became Vulcan when he took over Spocks body?
