Looks like a downgrade to me. Rocket boosters have no place in the 32nd century.

That said, the idea of upgrading Discovery with proper 32nd century tech is interesting and kind of inevitable, I think.

I was thinking if they'd swap out the deflector "satellite" dish. The rest, outwardly, looks pretty timeless on the Crossfield class.

I want to just point out, how the Discovery now looks in the show is one of the options in the game. There will be progammable matter bolt-ons for the ship throughout the rest of Season 3 it seems. The game seems to quite openly spoil how Season 3 ends. This is a spectacular cock up. They should have waited until January to release the Discovery update.

In the game you can pick different add-ons, and the progammable matter is what makes it all compatible. Plug and play ship design basically.

Star Trek: Fleet Command. It's a massively popular fleet command game where you pilot different Star Trek ships and earn different characters. The game now includes Discovery characters, but was meant to come out after Season 3 was released. They went back and tried to remove key Season 3 spoilers (as the game update came out before Season 3 due to the delay) but they didn't manage to change everything. So the characters in the game are the ones that'll be in Season 4.

So the big spoiler is Georgiou, Detmer, Nhan, Linus and presumably Argeth (the new Andorian character) are the new Section 31.

Ah I guess Argeth is a sticking around? He had that whole redemption arc going on. So I wonder if this Section 31 crew will be main characters in the the S31 series.
