Possible character arc's for season two that you predict or think might be possible?

I was thinking about what each characters own personal arc's might be and I of course don't know any of this for a fact but this is what I think they could be or maybe should be.

1 Saru. I think he will be dealing with command and all that comes from that. He will have pressure from dealing with a experienced Captain in Pike along with the knowledge that Starfleet has a replacement waiting for him on Vulcan.

2 Stamets; Still grieving the loss of Culber. Not sure if that means more dreams or hallucinations or maybe dealing with the fact that he doesn't even have his work with the Spore Drive to dig into and might actually have to function as just a regular engineer. Maybe he meets someone else he is into in terms of romance but not sure if they would go to that place so soon.

3 Tilly: Dealing with the fact that she is trying to improve herself as a offficer since she wants to be a Captain and is part of that command program. Then you have that energy particle that landed on her and dealing with whatever that was all about.

4 L'Rell and Tyler: Dealing with the leadership of the Klingon empire. Not sure if that will connect to anything dealing with Section 31,The Enterprise or the faith vs science stories but I go to figure they will in some fashion.

5 Burnham: I think she will have lots to do with Pike. I think that story will connect to the Section 31 stuff which means Georgiou will also have lots to do with this possible story. Maybe Pike will be sexist or not. I can see them going either way with this version of the character. Spock also has to factor into this stuff somehow.

Mirror Georgiou
will no doubt serve as quirky comic relief in the occasional episode or three, as the show takes on a more lighthearted tone since the war is over.

And I suspect they will find a way to retrieve
Prime-universe Lorca
, who is probably an awfully decent chap.

I certainly hope so.
Jason Isaacs
was one of the best things about this show.

Can we just put a spoiler-warning in the title of the thread, and then skip all the spoiler-tags in the thread?

I don't think it makes much sense discussing possible plot arcs for the characters in season 2 without referencing the events and reveals that happened in S1.

At this point, we are outside spoiler tag territory for anything in season 1. Season 2 story spoilers should be coded, but not idle speculation.

General rule of thumb, if your source is Jonathan Frakes, use spoiler code.

I think we might see Captain Pike have his accident at some point. And I don't think for a minute that Spock won't show up. Just my two cents.

Well, his accident isn't for another 10 years at this point. In The Menagerie, they make it clear that the accident happened only a month or so before.
As far as Spock, unless they're outright lying or changed their minds about the mandate to specifically not have him around, I don't think he's showing up. I will be happily surprised if he does turn up though.

I think Michael’s redemption arc was pretty much dealt with in season 1. I’m not sure what else there is for her to do in season 2 which makes me think something will happen that will throw her into disarray again and she’ll have another obstacle to overcome - probably s31. She’ll have to take down Mirror Georgiou in a story that will mirror (lol) her mutiny in “Vulcan hello”. Angst will ensue. I think we were supposed to root for Michael in season 1, so I look forward to her speech at the end of season 2 - which will probably be something about the evils of s31 and will be before the entire federation council. But, as before, everything will come up Burnham.

I’d love them to focus on Saru - I find him one of the most compelling characters in the show. And it’d be great to see Stamets made chief engineer (for when we finally see engineering) and for Tilly to be his first mate or whatever. Maybe be a Scottish officer comes aboard from Enterprise too and he stirs things up in the engine room?

If they must do L’Rell and Tyler I’d love them to explore Klingon culture more deeply than they did in season 1 (which was hardly at all). I don’t mind if we never see Georgiou again as she was largely a caricature of her prime counterpart (as is everyone in the MU) so if she just disappears with DSC-Sloan then I wouldn’t mind. As it is I think we’ll be seeing Georgiou and the s31 guy being shady or more likely just aggressive and amoral. I don’t hold out much hope that DSC s31 will be as nuanced as DS9 s31 but I’m cautiously optimistic.
