I voted the 09/ID ones. I thought they were a more faithful recreation of the originals, whilst still looking modern/futuristic. I didn't mind the ones in Beyond, but they felt like a change for change's sake to me.

I like Uhura having her rank showed in Beyond (but I wish people would stop to give the new team too much credit for that since the female long sleeves uniform in the first movies had rank too, it's only the short sleeves one that lacked it) but Kaplan gets my vote. He reinvented the uniforms keeping their classic appeal but still make them more appropriate, practical and realistic. The new ones are too stiff, as if made with neoprene..the tunic on the men is too short and I hate the way it looks when they move. Spock could run in stid with those pants, tunic and boots ..somehow I can't imagine him comfortably running like that with the new uniform. Idk, they just give me this 'too stiff can't move' feeling. Some people who played extras as enterprise crew members confirmed it isn't just an impression and the uniform is indeed uncomfortable. If there are more movies I wish they can combine both uniforms.

I didn't mind the field uniforms Chekhov and Kirk had in Beyond but I absolutely preferred the uniforms from '09/Into Darkness. There was no good reason to abandon them.

I adore the Beyond uniforms. That collar design is awesome. The repeating delta thing in the first two is okay but I'm not the biggest fan of that. They did that kind of thing in Superman Returns too and I just don't get it.

Agreed. They were the best kind of an update you could ask for.

I get the desire to switch things up a bit, but at the very least, I would've liked to have seen those uniforms mingling with the current uniforms, like Generations did with the TNG/DS9 uniforms.

Then again, in hindsight I wish Spock and the Franklin crew wore jumpsuits closer to Enterprise/Columbia. The Franklin uniform is definitely a descendant of that uniform, but still.

I think the duty uniforms in Beyond were better, although I can live with tweaking the fabric and cut to be more comfortable. The 09/ID uniforms had the repeating pattern which just didn't do it for me.

I chose 09/iD. I wasn't into the look of Beyond, including the sets and FX. The movie looked cheaper than the previous ones, whether it actually was or not.

I hated the Beyond style when we saw that first set pic of Simon Pegg, but.... it's really grown on me, especially seeing it on screen.

The 2009 version is very nicely put together, it's a good 'action' outfit, but it can be a little busy with the pattern. The Beyond style regained a bit more formality and 'class', so to speak, merging the simplicity of the original uniform with a touch of that formality TNG had.

The cut and detailing helps break up the plain colour in a more subtle way than the '09 version as well. I do like both, and I'm a big fan of the variety of style the new films have brought in, but.... Beyond's has just a different, more serious vibe.

I really liked the updated look of the Beyond uniforms, and I was glad to see the longer sleeves for the female versions, with the ranks included.

I preferred the 09/ID uniforms but I have to give Beyond credit for the field jackets. They're my favorite clothing design in the new movies.
