I think Star Trek is right there with Terminator in terms of my most anticipated.

I had to go with OK, because while I've warmed up to the idea of the film and am geniunely looking forward to seeing the performances of Pegg and Urban, I'm VERY MUCH put off by a certain event in the movie (which I can't and won't discuss here, go to the spoiler thread and see my comments if you really want to know).

So I'm kind of middle of the road about it right now. I think I'll like it, but I'm not happy about one pretty major event and to me that event is very significant to the Trek universe.

My wife and I are certainly going on opening weekend with friends.

Odds are, I would have watched ST09 3 times by the time the opening weekend is over!

If you had not put the qualifier in your first choice, I would have voted for #1. Due to family emergencies, I probably will not be there opening weekend-- much as I would like to be.

I'm very exicted to see this movie, been waiting since last year. Though I'm not going to see it opening night (or even the during the weekend, since I work weekends) I am planing on seeing the movie first thing (or atleast sometime during the day) on monday.

I'm really looking forward to this film. When it started to come together in earnest more than two years ago, I had misgivings, but I decided that the potential satisfaction of keeping an open mind and being invested in the changes as they happened was greater than the potential satisfaction I would get from cleaving to my particular idea of Star Trek and shunning the film. Even if the finished film strikes me as lackluster, I think I've had a much better time than I would have if I'd decided the reverse. Roll on May 7.

I am having a Star trek party with some friends and then we're all going to the movie on May 8th. two days later I am taking another friend out for Chinese Food and to see Star Trek to celebrate his birthday.
