I could not possibly disagree more. Killing off Janeway was the gutsiest move Pocket Trek has ever made and and has
huuuge dramatic potential. Certainly more than the "Adventures of the Admiral sitting behind the desk" or creating some lame re-set putting her back in the captain's chair ala Kirk. And, honstely, thanks to
Nemesis, those were the
For my money, I was done,
done,
done with
Voyager lit until Janeway's death. Now I'm looking forward to the next
Voyager book in a way that I never looked forward to the show.
And for those who say, "what if it were
your favorite character?"-- I would say the exact same thing. These aren't real people here, and good drama is good drama. Period.
