Ah, thanks - I generally don't bother with the abbreviations.
And the mods don't thwop for that.

There's hardly any main characters left in the so-called Voyager relaunch so I would suggest that they change the name of the book series and the ship as well.
What a truly odd thing to say. You do realize that Voyager is the name of a Starfleet vessel and not the crew assigned to her. How many crews manned the Enterprise? People come and go but she's still the Enterprise, regardless of any bloody A, B, C, D or E. Should Tuvok have changed his name when he transferred to the Titan? Or Worf and Miles O'Brien when they were assigned to DS9?
Janeway is gone, Chakotay is leaving, and Voyager is returning to the Delta Quadrant with a new female captain (and a resident admiral as well). These are good things, with exciting story possibilities ahead.
you'll have to forgive lynx. he gets verklempt pretty easily. but, it will be weird to voyager fans not having almost half the original crew (the three highest ranking officers) from the show in the novels in the near future.
I personally think she really should at some point in time. I don't feel her character got a proper enough send off to justify her being gone forever.
About the idea of not being Voyager without the Voyager crew, there's a TV show in Britain (don't know if you get it in America) called Taggart, it's still going strong despite the titular character having died in 1994. Just a thought...
they should bring her back and then kill her all over again. she should be the Phoenix of ST. bring her back every few years and then whack her again.![]()
The excerpts from Full Circle (hence the title) are posted at Amazon.
And they don't mention a (spoiler) or a (spoiler)...
With most of the crew gone it's just not Voyager so I rather agree with Lynx - they should rename the line.
It may be the name of the ship, but it's has zero to do with the show - apart from the ship of course.![]()
Calling it Voyager implies that the characters from the show is involved and if they aren't...well then they should rename it.

How about Blake's 7. Very quickly you got to the point where there weren't 7 of them and Blake wasn't around either.

Ever hear of a show called Deep Space Nine? When Pocket started the post-finale series, they didn't have half the series regulars, because of the events of the finale. But they didn't change the series title. Instead, they introduced several new characters and went on to tell stories that were completely true to the spirit of Deep Space Nine.
As for Voyager... the idea that Janeway, Chakotay, Tuvok, Seven, the holodoc, Tom Paris, Harry Kim, and B'Elanna Torres (with or without Neelix and Kes) would stick together and have a bunch of adventures together on the same ship following their return home strikes me as not only ridiculously limiting but also completely untrue to the series premise and characters. They didn't all want to be on that ship together. Several of them weren't supposed to be on that ship. It makes no sense for them all to team up and head off together again. The books following the finale have to be different from the series status quo, because the finale changed everything and they can't go back.
Relaunching "Voyager" would seem to me mean relaunching the ship (It's not called the Janeway relaunch afterall)
also sending the Voyager back to the DQ makes sense, as it is recognisable to many aliens there, however sending the crew back would be very unlikely, they spent 7 years trying to get away from there, why would they want to go back?

That seems a bit strange to me, tbh. I mean, there're already loads of shipboard Trek novels. It seems like it'd be more interesting to follow the lives of the characters - offship and seperated though they be. But I suppose setting it in the DQ is the "Voyager-esque" hook here.

They do, repeatedly, and by name. Under the "Browse Sample Pages" section you can see practically the entire book. If reading ahead doesn't bother you, every plot point and character in Full Circle can be found.
