Poll: Are you looking forward to this movie?

Yes, 39, male. I'm already hard at work on my time machine so I can see it earlier than 2008.

A guarded yes. I want to know more about it, and maybe see a trailer. I will probably go see it because it's Star Trek, but it's over a year away.

Yes. I can't get too excited about it yet because I don't know enough, but based on what I do know I am looking forward to it.

yesss.

I wish you could break down the yes and no's by age. I'd be curious to see where the bulk of the haters are. I think people are assuming they are in the older fans, like myself. But perhaps not.

A guarded yes, from a 24-year-old (25 in three weeks) male.

I'm not sold on the alleged time travel/alternate timeline plot that's been leaked online. Not by a long shot. I like the creative team and the casting so far seems decent, but if it's poorly plotted like a rehashed ENT episode, my opinion will most definitely change.

I'm kind of neutral. I'll admit I haven't been following the development of the film too closely, in no small part because I think it's too difficult to separate legitimate info from the rumor mill at this point. And I don't want to deal with fans who've already decided that the film sucks even though it's not finished yet (and alternatively, fans who feel the opposite way).

I'm male, age 32, and I voted YES!!! :)

I can honestly say that I have never been as interested in any new Star Trek film. Just the thought of seeing Kirk & Spock in their prime again, followed by the very cool poster, it really got me going!

It may be a huge dissapointment when I see it, but I really can't wait.

Ahhhhhhh, hell.

I wanted to answer all boxes, but i cant judge until its happened, so why not... Guarded Yes it is then.

Could be really disappointed like i was with Enterprise and Voyager and TNG movies, but hey, hasn't happened yet, so i cant be disapointed yet, thats just illegal.

It actually seems like a lot of the hate is coming from the younger fans.

And by younger I mean, say, 30 or younger.

Male - 48 - Yes

It'll be somewhat like seeing TOS again for the very first time.

It does kinda give one a tingle when one stops to think about it. :)

HECK YES!! I've never seen a Star Trek movie in the theater, so this is almost like a religious experience for me. I'm also very easy to please, which means if it doesn't totally suck, I'll probably love it (reminding you that I loved Fantastic Four 1 & 2, and X-Men 3, and liked TFF). So I'm really not too worried about the rumors. You never know, though, I might scrutinize this a little closer since I'm expecting so much more out of it.
