Political Animals

I watched the entire series over the last two days.

I found it engaging enough, I suppose. I had originally hoped for more biting satire, but it played mostly as soap opera. The political crises (Iran, Chinese sub) were really given the short shrift.

I liked Bud and Grandma well enough. Both boys seem to be a couple of tools, IMHO. The main reporter was all over the map. Weaver was, of course, terrific.

If they have a season 2 it makes sense to me that Elaine will challenge Vice President Jerkface for the nomination. He must be stopped. I think they'll leave the President dead.

Overall I'd say an amusing summer diversion, with some very good moments.

It's cancelled.

Greg Berlanti’s Political Animals won’t become a regular series for USA Network as originally envisioned. The mini was a modest performer , premiering to 3.8 million total viewers and averaging 3.2 million total viewers in Live+7 over its run.

The bulimic wife showed up on Emily Owens MD the other day in episode three I suspect as a reocurring character.
