So for the fanfic thread I had an idea

Basically everyone who has a fanfic idea can post it here, anyone who wants to expand on it has to claim it.

They can be ships, long fics, AUs whatever?

Would anybody be interested in creating such a thread?

Okay let me explain the concept

People put down fanfic ideas-summaries of story possibilities.

Other people might claim such fanfics as their own-acknowledging their ideas of course came from others.

Example I put down dominion war DS9 fanfics that involve AUs-alternate universes

Other people might write down shipping fics or Enterprise Timelines.

It's beneficial for those with ideas but without the time or inclination to actually write them.

The problem is, it's hard to come up with good story plots that haven't been used before, so authors are reluctant to give them up to strangers so easily.

nice enough idea in theory, but I generally just write from scratch and go wild...

Part of the pleasure is that if your idea is taken "the bunny is caught" then you have the satisfaction of knowing somebody with the time and inclination is writing something from your head.

It's basically a forum platform where ideas are passed around, claimed and jilted from
aether of poster's minds to the text. Thus allowing ideas that may be interesting or cool or dark or awe(ish) to be written.

But the thing is, the couple times I suggested a plot-line to another writer, the end result looked nothing like what I had in mind.

I have come up with a number of crew line-ups but never done a thing with them, so could throw them out to anyone who wanted to take them on (none of them follow the novelverse, the only thing I've taken from that is that Andorians have four sexes, everything else is just one potential alternate version of events).

One of my most recent is the U.S.S. Challenger NCC-71009, set in the year 2388, when Geordi La Forge assumes command after nine years spent as XO of the E-E. he is given an exploratory mission on the far side of the Tholian Assembly.
