Plinkett is back

Sigh... I thought there was a new review... FSM, you really Gaithed us there...

It's a shame Plinkett sounds so off, but some of the digs at the prequels were hilarious.

"From my point of view it is you who are evil!"

Also, the last 10 seconds were ridiculously, traumatically, hilarious.

Yeah, that was pretty damn fantastic. Loved the Plinkett flipping around on the green screen bit. The hooker story wraps up brilliantly.

And am I crazy or did Mach5 just post a cartoon in here telling us why we shouldn't like something that tells us why we shouldn't like something (at least according to the cartoon itself)?

Yeah, I wish Stoklasa would have redubbed, but it's no biggie - the guy playing him was close enough to still be enjoyable.

No Bishop, you're not crazy, just completely missing the point.

So what was the point?

The cartoon tells me that Plinkett is wrong, by misrepresenting his argument.

I think the point is somewhere in there.

Yeah, it heavily implies that Plinkett doesn't have excellent reasons for being an implicit member of the Star Wars Prequel Rejection Society, though he clearly does.

You all have excellent reasons, Gaith. ;)

BTW, are you guys planning some kind of an anti-prequel rally on February 10 next year, when Phantom Menace 3D opens in theaters? That would be a blast. Assuming most of you aren't going to be busy standing in line for tickets, of course.

No, really, what was the point you were so adeptly trying to make that we're all missing? I must have missed it somewhere in all your amazingly acerbic wit.

I'll simplify it, so that even you can comprehend.

Stoklasa is a film maker wannabe - turned attention whore who suddenly became a voice for all those who suffer from so much nerd rage, that they can't even articulate their own butthurt.

Now I'll admit that his Phantom Menace review had its moments, but Episode II review was boring and I found the third one nearly unwatchable. You really have to hate these movies with a passion to sit through all that wankery.

I'll also admit that his ST XI and Avatar reviews were pretty good, probably because he didn't dissect them like a dead frog.

Now, how exactly does one remarkably unfunny cartoon convey all that? You may really want to rethink what you use to try to make your points, because it really doesn't convey any of those things you said it did. Other than apparently some Star Wars fan was so butthurt he thought he'd try to take a funny stab at Plinkett's reviews... Try being the key word there.

So, you post a comic ripping on Plinkett for ripping on Star Wars (I'm glad I escaped from that logic loop with my life!) and tries to express Star Wars fanboy butthurt at Plinkett's popularity to express your butthurt at Plinkett's butthurt. No wonder you prequel apologists like these movies - your logic is as amazingly flawed as that in the films.

I find your hostility amusing. :)

Also, I'm far from an apologist. I'm just not a hater. Not for the most part, at least. I hate 70% of Episode II.

I just figured I'd return your hostility - you know, the hostility aimed directly at me in the post just prior to my last? Or how about the hostility that was the actual point of you posting in here - you just wanted to express your own butthurt at the popularity of these reviews and try to piss off a few Plinkett fans in the process.

This isn't the first time you've accused me of trolling. I can live with it.
