Hello my fello Star Trek fans,
Twice a year I do what I can to raise money for two very worthy causes. The people on this message board have been amazingly gracious in the past, and that encourages me to make yet another plea for your selfless actions.
I'm helping raise money for Free to Breathe, which is a walk, run, and donation activity to raise money for lung cancer research. A high school classmate of mine died at age 35 from lung cancer...seven months after being diagnosed. She found out only six weeks after giving birth to her first and only child, a baby girl. She never smoked a day in her life. This made me aware that lung cancer can strike anyone. I'm also raising money to celebrate a friend's mother, who is a lung cancer survivor. She is alive because of research funded by donations from fine folks like yourselves.
