Pre-order up at Emtertainment Earth for Playmobil 42-inch TOS 1701 Enterprise starship playset - with electronic light n sound features!

Sounds great - and can’t wait to see pics!

Interestingly - I didn’t realise Playmobil had rights to Trek, so it potentially bodes well for other future Trek releases.

:)

PS: Mods - please feel free to move / delete if I’ve posted this in the wrong forum or if another thread has already been posted on this - Thanks

It's interesting, but Playmobil is such an 'meh' toy franchise. For 500 bucks, I'd rather get a Lego set that probably would have included more interior sets, like a functional shuttle bay with shuttle.

Lego would charge more. Lego has become less enjoyable with their licensed products. I'm more interested in Playmobil right now. 500 is tough but still more interesting to me than a lot of Lego sets right now.

There is a news thread now linking to the news story in the General Section that has three pictures. Actually looks pretty slick. I'm going to do some scale testing with it.

Hmmm… based on the pics (at the link posted in the general section by AutoAdmin), there appears to be at least x2 Tribbles, near the viewscreen, in the pic showing the inside of bridge!

Nice Easter egg :)

Edit: as seen below at TrekToday:
