    Diplomacy could fall under politically.

I'm really tempted to make a very obvious joke about how diplomacy and politics do not go together.

After reading this thread I broke down and bought one of the Kirks that I couldn’t find in the boxes over at my parents place. Kirk in the environmental suit from “the Tholian Web.”

Found one still on the card for 7 bucks (with free shipping) on Amazon. I think that’s less than what I bought my original one for.

It’s standing next to my other Kirks now and it’s kinda weird that he’s shorter than the others.

Yeah, since Starfleet doesn't appear to be overtly political, but does do a lot of diplomacy, I figure that's what Playmates meant.

Or maybe we shouldn't put too much stock in what a 25 year old action figure card says. ;)

I love that Kirk! He's awesome with the removable helmet and his cool phaser and tricorder.

As for the height, presumably the boots Shatner wore in that costume didn't have his usual three inch Cuban heels.

It’s my second favorite of the Kirks they made. The removable helmet totally makes it.

I always liked the Kirk wearing the orbital skydiving suit from the Generations line (based on the deleted alternate opening of the movie). That was really cool.

That’s a cool one too. Lack of articulation kills it though.

They finally used the suit in VOY, when B'Elanna wanted to kill herself on the holodeck (unless that's a new suit).

I always figured the orbital skydive in the 2009 movie was a reference back to that deleted scene, too.

I quite like the GENS line. It's pretty cool IMHO to have physical representations of roads not travelled, ie the different uniforms and figures from scenes that didn't make it into the final movie. I like to think that in one of the multitude of alternate realities, those uniforms were used somewhere. ;)

Indeed, though that's a problem with the entire Generations line.
Same suit according to Memory Alpha.

I believe they had to make some not-so-minor alterations to accommodate the rather slighter figure of Roxann Dawson.

Hey guys, I have quite a few loose 4.5" figures, all with their original accessories and display bases. At the moment they're rather unceremoniously stored together in old plastic ice cream tubs from my childhood. What do you guys display yours in? I'm ideally after some transparent plastic boxes where you can see the figures from the front and they have separate compartments for each figure and their accessories/display stand. I'm struggling to find anything like this online, so could do with some advice. Thanks in advance!

They made the 2009 Enterprise too, IIRC.

A long break from the ships.

You might try fishing tackle boxes, or similar type storage. I know Michael's can do a wide variety of display cases and shadow boxes.

I personally don't display mine, as my kids still play with them :)

I only own a few TNG figures. Mine are all crammed inside the shuttlecraft.

The few I have out are just free standing without the bases.

And it's pretty nice, actually. Didn't like it in the movie, but still had to buy the model XD

Mine as well! When they stopped fitting in, I stopped buying more ;)
