Pizza Hut's "The Natural" Pizza - Crap

Stop making me hungry! We have shitty Greek restaurants here in Austin. :scream:

I know a Greek family that owns a pizza joint just outside Chicago, that make NY style pie and have toppings like feta, Kalmata olive and gyros. All you need to remember is damned good.

How do you put a gyro on a pizza?

Could be just the meat. There are lots of places around here that offer donair meat as a pizza topping.

It's spelled tzatziki and pronounced like "sat-seeky" with a bit of a t sound at the front of both s sounds.

It wouldn't work on a pizza (it's made with a yogurt base) unless added after baking.

Ok, I spelled it wrong but what makes you think I say it wrong? ;) :p

I was trying to illustrate to the hundreds of lurkers whom we never see how it works. Believe it or not, we are seen by many more people than we think here. :)

Haven't eaten there in awhile (Puke smily need here)
I can tolorate Domino's BBQ Chicken pizza but rarely.
the Two best Pizza places near me are a place called 'Mad Greeks' best pizza subs in town
and a newer place called Sarpinos.

Yeah...I work at Pizza Hut, and as far as I can tell the only difference is the wheat crust. Unless you specifically order the "rustica" or something like that which has a different, sort of pesto sause and sliced tomatoes and some different kind of sausage. I don't actually make the pizzas (I'm a driver) but I do prep and cut table sometimes.

Yeah, they're making a big deal out of how 'natural' stuff is now...but most of it has been 'natural' all along, you know, preservative free and no fillers. I haven't tried the wheat crust...all I know is it smells a lot like beer when you're throwing away the old.

I worked at Godfather's in high school, and I must say I did like their pizza much better. The only one around here now though is just a little take out place inside a gas station. I've yet to check it out.

I think we only have like one local pizza place here in Ames...I've never eaten there though.

I cant remember the last time Ive eatan at Pizza Hut. Ive been having a lot of Panago and Boston Pizza lately, which I dont mind at all, especially since Im not the one that does the ordering of it.

Yeah, that's why i dont have it often. It's more of a going out thing, which is what ive been doing lately.

Christmas things, random friend things. Stuff like that.

We have a Mr. Gatti's it isn't to bad, but I think the Macaroni & Cheese pizza should go straight from the oven to the trash.

The barbecue chicken pizza on the other hand is great. Just to bad I'm limited to only two pieces of pizza per day, sort of defeats going to an all you can eat pizza place.

Most of the national chain pizza places serve utter crap. Acceptable if there's nothing else available, but that's almost never the case.

The best pizza on the planet is Imo's Pizza in St. Louis. Extremely thin crisp crust with provel cheese. Unfortunately they don't have them where I live now. :(

I generally find it unacceptable under any circumstances. I'd rather eat something else.

One of the great things about pizza are the regional variations. A slice in St. Louis is not the same as a slice in Chicago which is different from a slice in NYC. Good pizza is everywhere, just not in the chains.

^ QFT!

I can't believe the number of people who say things like "Pizza Hut sucks, I like Papa Murphy's"!

Ever consider patronizing a locally owned pizza place? In most cities they outnumber the chains, deliver, have VASTLY superior pizza, and the money you spend will actually be returned to YOUR community.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Round Table. I've tried just about every major pizza chain and can't stand any of them but Round Table. They use just the right amount of sauce, nicely seasoned crust that isn't hard as a rock or too doughy. They also have a great variety of toppings and sauces. I think I still have some left overs in the fridge...

I don't mind Pizza Hut pizza but "The Natural" didn't look appealing at all. I miss some of the really good pizza from Chicago, and haven't found anything great in my current area. I'm sure there is a good local chain somewhere but I really don't mind chain pizza as much as a lot of you seem to.

That being said, if someone were to open a pizza place that delivered to my house, they'd instantly top my list, regardless of quality.

Sounds good but they are only in 7 states.

And I did in fact already mention them, with no response.

It seems we have few members with taste in pizza as good as ours Flux.
