Pitch terrible ideas for episodes

"Lol, My Dear Data"

Data, in his ongoing quest to understand humor, finds the old Lolcat databases from various 21st century Internet sites. He decides to experiment, so the next time he and Picard and various other Bridge officers go to the holodeck, Data makes their speech appear over their heads in cute thought/speech balloons - in the Impact font, but somewhat grammatically altered...

Well that's just stupid. Isn't it funnier to make up ideas for episodes that are actually half way plausible? Like making up plots that could actually happen on an off day for the writers?

^Ever saw "The Outrageous Okona"? It was pretty close to that. Also, for the purpose of such an awesome episode title, he can write whatever he likes, as far as I'm concerned.

Well, that's just rude. The thread title said to pitch terrible ideas, not funny ideas. :vulcan:

And my idea is at least as good as most of the terrible ones listed so far. :rommie:

I love Lolcats Trekisode! I found it very funny. I would pay real quatloos to see all of the epis pitched here!

OK. not ALL of them . . .:rommie:

Me, too! Surely, with all the screenshots floating around the caption and avatar threads, some of them should be doable. :lol:

In the meantime, I'm working on a different sort of LolDune parody...

"Guinan's Day" - TNG
We follow Guinan through a normal day of being a busybody and trying to interfere in people's lives for the better. Then we follow her back to her quarters and watch her cry about no longer being in the Nexus.

VOY: "Juan Valdez"

Janeway in the DeltaFlyer is transported back in time into an alternate time line and she has to help primitive man to find and develope the uses of the coffee bean or face extinction in the future. And along the way Janeway finds love with a young explorer named "Juan" as well as a way to repair the DF with ancient Columbian knock-off second hand electronics.

TNG

The Coda of the Egg

Picard comes across a secret that explains that while Future tech can regrow limbs and mend bone they cannot cure baldness. A terrifying revelation that reveals that Section 13 created a bio -weaopen to render all Romulans bald therefore too embarrased to try and invade Federation Space sixty years ago. Unfortuantely the bio-weopen leaked and created incurable pattern baldness in all frenchmen with english accents. Now Picard must use his diplomatic cunning to prevent the Romulans from invading the Federation, out of rage that Section 13 almost destroyed the Romulan bowler cut.

The evil twin and his vampire Army

Picard must pit wits against his clone, who has gathered an Army of Romulans noone has ever heard of before or mentioned before who look like evil vampires. Which enable his sharp mind to determine that they are bad guys. They have a huge ship with over one hundred guns and use the Ultimate weapon which is basicly a death star but without the laser beam. Data may or may not die and Geordi still cant get a decent story line.

The Voyage of the Darned

The Voyager crew's uniforms start fraying. Crewmen start reporting for their duty shifts in the nude. "I just don't care anymore," people are heard to say. This continues until Neelix ruins it for everyone by jumping on the bandwagon, parading nude for morale, and throwing lame meme parties in the mess hall, like "Nude Ancestor's Day" and "Bachelor Auction in the Raw".

The crew makes due with a shipment of Vidiian burlap until they can make planetfall to an alien megamall. Neelix is forced to work in an Orange Julius to pay for it all.

I'd love to have this story in the Fan Fiction section. Hmmm....actually, would the author mind a bit of tinkering?

She was spared then out of respect for her father, the renowned Romulan general. He died recently, bringing her enemies out of the woodwork and sending her fleeing for her life.

A Romulan warbird arrives, and Sub-Commander Rielle demands that Sela be returned to stand trial. She says that Sela won’t face the death penalty. As a show of good faith, Rielle invites Picard aboard to meet someone: a middle-aged Tasha Yar. Sela had lied when she told Picard her mother was executed.

Rielle then offers to exchange Yar for Sela. Picard is allowed to talk privately with Yar, who tells him that Rielle is Sela’s older half sister. Rielle’s mother was the Romulan general’s first wife, in a long-ago marriage of convenience which he never took seriously. He had ignored Rielle as well, but doted on Sela. The Romulans aren’t going to even try Sela. At Rielle’s suggestion, they’ve already sentenced her to life as a sex slave to the families of the dead soldiers.

  • Picard's on his honeymoon with Bev after an ordeal at the hands of Starfleet Command re-assessing his fitness to command after The Battle of The Bassen Rift. Only when The Romulan High Command notifies Starfleet Command, & in turn, they notify Picard of Sela's transport, it serves to temporarily relinquish Picard's obligation to his honeymoon with Beverley Howard-Crusher and Starfleet Command's mandatory psycho-analysis. Bev is (of course) hot on his heels to possibly recover the now middle-aged/elderly Tasha Yar.
  • Riker & his crew are dealing with the birth of Riker's daughter Natasha in addition to the events of "Over A Torrent Sea". The Enterprise continues to gradually work its way through the Dominion War priority queue at Utopia Planetia for repairs & resupply.
  • Captain Morgan Bateson is given Worf as his X.O., and Katherine Pulaski as his Chief Medical Officer.
  • Geordi takes over indefinate responsibility aboard the Vonnegut, once Scotty has returned to being the Head of the C.o.E.
  • Bateson's ship, the (Legacy-Class) U.S.S. Vonnegut is temporarily allocated Riker's old assignment to protect the Romulan Homeworld while the Titan's encouraged to resume Starfleet's original purpose of exploration (according to the novels). But, take on the Enterprise passengers before the Vonnegut's relieved of its prior assignment by another Federation ship (to be decided later.)

VOY: Ships In The Night

The crew recieve a distress signal and go to investigate. To their surprise they find the USS Nimitz, hurtling through space at super high velocity, obviously having been slingshotted around a couple of Jovian planets. Upon beaming over an away team in near-warp transport, Chakotay, B'Elanna and Kim find a time capsule inside the ship. So they take it and beam back to Voyager. Upon opening the box, they find:

A Vanilla Ice cd, which Kim takes;
3 Dog Night 8-track, which Janeway takes;
A fake lightsaber, which Tom Paris takes;
Some pocket lint, which the EMH takes;
A thing of Tic Tacs, which Neelix takes;
Preparation H, which Chakotay takes;
A copy of "How to Win Friends and Influence People", which Seven takes.

We see each person deriving great pleasure of their item, and at the end of the program, decide to build their own time capsule.

Tom puts in a video of Chaotica and the Fifth Dimension;
Chakotay puts in one of this rocks;
Janeway puts in a photograph of her husband;
Neelix puts in a special recipe that he invented to commemorate Kes, instructing where to find all of the ingredients and how to assemble the dish;
Seven puts in a vial containing some of her nanoprobes;
While the EMH puts in an isolinear chip containing a video of his medical theories and a demonstration of his singing.

I like the implication that the ep would never even bother explaining why a 400 year old surface ship is floating through space in the delta quadrant; it's just taken as read. It's so Voyager.

Body snatchers make the aliens more humans than humans! Wait! It is like that in ST...if you haven't noticed. They seem to have more life and a sense of humor. Humans appear snobbish and waaay too proper! [chuckle] :lol:

Somebody should write this up as a fanfic. :)
