Based on the fact that it's already been rebooted once unsuccessfully, Pine not being a big box office draw and the Saint not being particularly famous, especially in the younger movie going population, which this will need to make bank. Is that enough for you?

I thought "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit" was dull as dishwater. Pine's performance was just fine, but the movie didn't exactly have me on the edge of my seat wanting to see a bunch of sequels.

Jack Ryan movie was pretty poor, like a mid-2000s movie, offered nothing new or innovative, just dull and soulless. Paramount just seem a bit desperate in recent years, this is another one that has flop written all over it.
