Picture this! The all new picture thread!

^Dude, I understand. I decided to take a half hour walk at lunch yesterday just so that I could take in the same weather.

I realized I hadn't taken one since I got my new job (and the thread was on the third page for me) so here's a shot with my mediocre webcam from tonight after I got home from a long day at the new job.

Picture16.jpg

You look hot in red. I wonder how the clothes would look in a pile on the floor?

You're welcome, T'Bonz. :P

A pile on the floor?!

:wtf:

Hell no, I just got done ironing.

So what about a neatly folded pile?

My word, look at the time! I hope I'm not late for 1904.

:guffaw::guffaw::guffaw: Oh Squigs, you're one of a kind.

I did however have a camera at home to take pics of my new suit!!

All you need is one of These sets and you can claim the holmes look. ;)

Sadly, I suspect in reality I'm more Dr Watson... :D

I LOVE the beard, and the suit makes me insanely jealous with bearded rage! :D

It's weird; most guys really like the beard (both on and offline) whereas chicks tend to be more split (some really like, some definitely dislike). Wonder what that's all about?

That's one of the nicest things you've said to me. 1894 would have been even nicer, but still!

We're experiencing some ridiculously unseasonable weather here in eastern Iowa for the middle of February (yesterday was about 60 degrees outside, the day before that was 50, today it's in the mid-40s and rainy), and I'm ... stuck at my desk.

This is why I punch koalas and yell at people in MA.

Can you just yell at the koalas and punch people on the BBS instead? I have a list.

Wow, I'm like five pages behind here.

JKTim, with your almost identical, recurring webcam smirks, you and Flux look like you could be related. ;)

Where the devil have you been Philo? I've had one less person to hit on ...

Where have I been? I walked all of the way to California. Didn't you get my note?

(I hope I'm not the only one who's read/seen Ghost World)

PHIIIIILLLOOOOOO! *tackles*

:D

I love this picture for some reason. I don't know why.

I do too! I'm really glad I found it. Next time I'm back home, I intend to look through more old photos.

Anyway, the funny thing is that, 13 years later, that Boy Scout uniform shirt still fits me. In fact, I wore it just this Saturday...

Pic
Wow. I don't think I could still fit into mine even if I still had it. (I think I'm slightly larger around than I was back then, though I didn't grow much after my growth spurt at age 12 - I was 5'9" then, and I'm 5'11.5" now.)

Isn't that a Venturer uniform, though? They might have changed them for all I know, but when I was a Scout, the uniforms were dark green:

BTW, sorry I didn't call when I was in town last weekend. I thought about it, but I was really tired after 12 hours of meetings on Saturday. And it looks like you were busy anyway.

That's adorable, TT. :D

Yeah, they must have changed it, because I've never even seen that green version before.

Wait, you were in town and didn't call me? Bastard! ;)

I did however have a camera at home to take pics of my new suit!!

Plus a glimpse of the Holdfast winter beard project... :D

feb10004ge3.jpg

It's gorgeous! I love it. I want one.

I have to admit I had a hard time envisioning it before, but the beard does look pretty good. The whole winter beard experiment is fun. I'm not doing it again this year, but my favourite part last year was getting icicles in it. :D

Is that last smilie an offer of a french kiss? ;)

Well, it's more like a Quebecois kiss

So, a french kiss that tastes like cigarettes and Pepsi?

Mon câlice de crisse! Sacrer son camp!!

Here are the first negative scans I've tried out with my new scanner. They turned out pretty well, though I need to figure out a better way to clean all of the smutz off of them. These are from a trip I took to southern Ontario a couple of years ago.

In the car. I'm pretty sure this was intentionally overexposed.

Hermiod, this one's for you. Since you're always insinuating that I wear women's pants, here's a picture where I actually am wearing women's clothes, all except for my pants. :D

(also featuring the rare appearance of my hair in it's naturally curly state)

More of the same. We were doing some sort of dress-up thing.

And then the rest of that set are all located here.

I'm getting tired and this post is getting long, but next post -- Eiffel Tower pictures!

The sad decline of Zavvi:

Click on the picture to see a larger version with a rather humourous reason to buy one of their hundreds of copies of the game.

The above images are hosted on my own personal Google Pages webspace and are not hotlinks.

^ What am I looking for?

Tough shit though I say. They shouldn't have charged such massive ripoff prices for crap films.
I went to the one in York a couple of weeks ago (which was closing down) and even with their "big sale" EVERYTHING they had was still more expensive than buying it on Play/Amazon etc.
Having looked at Play post-Christmas sale earlier I just walked round the shop laughing over their so called bargains and didn't find anything worth buying.
I went back last week and its now closed all together.

^Seriously, though, that stack of copies of the game was huge. Plus they had loads more on the shelves.

That's the sad thing, they've got loads of copies of some games and no copies at all of others. The Blu-Ray section is well stocked but the DVD shelves are emptying.

Yeah, those early flowers always tend to get screwed over by winter deciding to be a bitch and return.

First sign of Spring!

Of course, they'll probably get nuked by the cold snap coming next week, but it's nice to pretend...

Crocuses! That brings back some fond childhood memories! :)

I went out to a fifties night tonight, and dressed the part. It seems like something I should have done before, but this is a first for me. Anyway, I took a couple of snaps with the webcam.

Of course, the wind destroyed my hair as soon as I left the house.

You don't keep a comb on you?!

Exactly! I was about to make a comment about looking quite like the Victorian doctor (yes, I realize it was a few years before 1904). And quite becoming. :)
You're exposing yourself to more Jeckyll and Hyde jokes, Holdfast! :D
Congratulations on the picture quoting score. How many is that?

Excellent job! :techman:
You could've snapped one with a cigarette. Smoking wasn't bad for the health then. It was .

Urgh... I have dozens of pages to catch up on. And I don't have the time. In fact, I am not here. :alienblush:
