Well boo-hoo. TV would actually be dominated in part by females. Probably not in the same proportions as audiences, though.
Now if a supposedly female-dominated television could really make a difference in politics, and in the workplace, there would be hope. Why am I lacking conviction here?![]()
I would say theres a lot of TV dominated by or marketed towards female audiences. Soaps are generally geared towards women and in the UK (unsure about the state of soaps in the US) between 6:30 and 8 you'll find four across three terrestrial/freeview/whatever they class as now channels.
Channel 4 tends to showcase ER, Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty and others which seem more targeted towards a feminine audience which has been targeted heavily in my view, especially with Smallville, How to Look Good Naked etc.
Until Heroes, the IT Crowd and a few other programmes came along it seemed TV was far more geared towards women - in my own personal view anyway which could be formed by what I see marketted in my small corner or reality

Though I find it odd that America produces two very male orientated productions, World Wrestling Entertainment with the head writer being Stephanie McMahon and TNA Wrestling owned and operated by a woman.
