Picture the Novelverse - Characters, Ships and More !

It's happenstance that I fell back on the ENT (2130-2155) uniform. With the mandarin collar and visible undershirt, it's the closest thing. Can't have wrist rank stripes, so I used the mirror ENT uniform - those ranks are epaulettes. The chest belting is not removable, unfortunately. The uniform does not work for women because the mirror version is bare-bellied.
For what you had to work with I quite like it.

Thanks!
I'm roleplaying this character as Romulan War-era but I might eventually move it forward towards the ROTF period.

In the Eaglemoss/Hero Collector fan group on Facebook, user Chris Newstead posted a version of La Sirena from the novels! Specifically, it is the pre-Ríos version from @JJMiller’s PIC novel Rogue Elements.

Which one is it?
Chris Newstead said:
The red is original. The confederation is the silver grey one. The battered and shot up one is Seven of Nines ranger version. And the drab grey with no engine pods is from the novel "Rogue Elements"

Does anyone remember reading the Lost Era novel 'Serpents Among the Ruins'?

If so, you might be interested in this. I'm having a go at making a 3D model of the U.S.S. Universe. It's an experimental hyperwarp vessel that features early on the book. If you haven't read the book yet (and I highly recommend that you do) then I won't spoil what happens with the ship, but in the 20 years since the book was released, I couldn't find any images of what the ship actually looks like. Hence why I'm attempting it myself. The is another old thread about this ship if you want to read the background of it, which can be found here:
https://www.trekbbs.com/threads/serpents-among-the-ruins-uss-universe-nx-2999.101938/

The book only offers a brief description of the ship:

"On the computer screen, the Enterprise vanished, replaced an instant later by split screen images of Universe; a view from in front of the vessel sat on top, and a view from the side on the bottom. With a particularly wide beam and shallow depth, the starship looked as though it had been compacted top to bottom, and spread port and starboard. The primary hull, a narrow ellipse with its major axis running fore and aft, had no rise to it at its center. The secondary hull, another level, narrow ellipse, but smaller, connected to the primary hull directly, the forward section of the former lying directly below the aft section of the latter. A pair of thin struts, angling backward, connected each of the two warp nacelles to the secondary hull. The nacelles themselves were flat and wide, flaring out broadly from their midpoints aft. The two-hull, two-nacelle alignment suggested a resemblance to other Starfleet vessels, but departed dramatically from those other designs in execution."
So here's what I've come up with so far.

I've been working on it some more today. I've made some changes to the navigational deflector area. I'm still not 100% happy with it but I prefer this version to the older one I made. I've also added some additional details to the saucer, taking some inspiration from the old Stargazer design. I thought this would be in keeping with the experimental nature of the ship, having it covered in sensors and probes.

Doug Drexler has just posted a bunch of his Trek novel covers on his ArtStation, which includes several rough drafts and unused variations. Some I recognized, some I don't think have been posted before. Amusingly, there seems to have been a period where he was using "Section 31 by David Mack" as a composition guide for where he'd need to leave room for the title text in the artwork, appearing on the cover of Original Sin and the unused cover for Enigma Tales. There are also three different variations of the cover of Force and Motion, with an alternate layout with and without the swirling energy effect around the space station.

I wonder if those make ships of the line 2025
