Why are the German covers are so much more beautiful than the American cover?

I don't know if any of the stuff I wrote was actually the artist's intent, I am interpreted stuff here.I always liked the German covers, but I never noticed they're so meaningful!
I wish we would, but so far Cross Cult only did covers featuring starships for their RotF books and I doubt that they'll change that. But I could be wrong. Hopefully.Maybe we get a ROTF cover with Archer or T'Pol in the new uniform.
Until today I thought the same.As for the original cover of Before Dishonor - I really thought it was rain or tears!

I'm sure that can be interpreted as a metaphor for something, but I won't get into that.
Good point.Well hey, something doesn't have to be intentionally meaningful to be meaningful.![]()
If I'll ever be a teacher (for whatever reason) I would totally do that. And all the chemistry students would be totally confused. That's the part you assign as a 2000-word essay to your students to figure it out for themselves.![]()

^ I think the intent was to say Germans (and Europeans, by extensions) care about quality. US-Americans, then, would just be consumers who are happy with visual swill.
Or might be misinterpreting.![]()
I don't think that ever happened. However I also don't recall any of Cross Cult's covers being met with huge criticism.Edit: Wait, that also implies that there have been times when German releases have been delayed because of cover design (as otherwise there would never be a consumer reaction in Germany to a choice between expediency and quality); when has that ever happened?
Indeed. Germans buy things that are well crafted and meant to last, even if the price for quality is higher. American consumers will just buy whatever. This is why Walmart failed in Germany based on its model of low cost, low quality products while it excels in America.
It still kind of feels like an insult to the Pocket cover artists, though. You're saying that they aren't actually putting in much effort because Americans don't care? Just because they aren't as well-liked doesn't mean that Pocket's cover artists are just slapping stuff together thoughtlessly.
I was more saying that the Germans put in more of an effort rather than anyone in America is not putting in any effort.
