Today is our 9th anniversary, and we are both working from our home offices, so last night, hubby surprised me with this little gift:

It's about the size of a dime, which is perfect and, of course, it's blue, so I love it.

My wife, a high school econ teacher, is at Parris Island this week with the Marines for a teacher workshop, where they're basically giving them an idea of what boot camp is like. She texted me this picture earlier today:

Are they allowed to have loaded weapons while they're at Parris Island? I noticed the M4 carbine she's holding doesn't have an ammo clip. Do they actually get to fire any live ammunition?

Yes, they do actually get to fire some live ammo!

Ah, the SMAW rocket launcher. I think Bofors in Sweden manufactures those for the U.S. military under contract. If it's not Swedish then it's Israeli, but it's definitely an imported system.
