PICTURE POST II!

LEGO Bob Ross thinks this thread has gotten so pretty that he wants to paint it.

Looks like he has a raspberry on his head!

Bob Ross will fucking end you.

With some happy little trees.

I loved watching the Joy of Painting as a kid. It was one of the daily TV rituals growing up. Like GIJoe and Thundarcats. The Disney afternoon block of Gummy Bears and Ducktales, and later Talespin, Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, and Gargoyles.

Hell, what happened that all good cartoons, both afternoon and sat morning, died off circa 1999?

We live in different times. Animation is a dumbed down wasteland these days. Not that everything we watched was intelligent and had value, but at least they had fun stories and adventures.

I'm still pissed that the site that used to host non-stop streaming video of TJOP was taken down. Bob Ross 24 hours a day is the bomb. :wah:

Bob Ross Inc. is pretty hardcore when it comes to shutting down what it sees as a improper, unauthorized use of the old shows. They routinely have TJOP episodes pulled from YouTube whenever somebody dares to post them, and to be frank one of the only places I've seen where entire uncut episodes of the series are posted is Vimeo....and even then there are just a select handful.

^ I think it's more like, they want to control how those shows are distributed. If TJOP is ever released on home video, it'll be 'diluted' if people are allowed to get it for free. So the company just wants to make money off of it.

There are special DVD sets released by Bob Ross Inc., each with a particular theme (Seascapes, Mountain Vistas, Forests, etc.) and they have multiple uncut episodes on each disc, but aside from those sets it can be very hard to find complete shows online.

Oh, if you're lucky someone will post some episodes and they might remain on YouTube for a few days or even a week or two, but sooner or later the Ross people will catch wind and have them pulled. Now, brief four-or-five-minute clips? No issues. Those are all over the place and you can find them just about anywhere.

It definitely does. But Bob died in 1995 and he's no longer around to put a more friendly face on things.

My hands have some callouses on them.

What I did Super Bowl Sunday:

And a lovely shot of my friends and me:

Caving and spelunking have never been my thing....I have too many bad claustrophobia issues to engage in those sports, but have boundless respect for people who can pull it off. Great pics.
