Polar bear?I had BBQ for lunch today.
Let's just say that I was in the mood for BBQ.
Olive Oatman, 1837 - 1903 who was born 140 years before me and someone I would have pestered every day to allow me to attend the barn dance together. Every single day until I wore her down and she finally relented 
Such beautiful features and that hair. It's a very interesting story but what I don't understand is why there is no other documentation of Olive Oatman in later life. She had become known across America because of her story yet there is nothing I can find of her life after marrying. No documents, photos or evidence of her at university or giving lectures. It just seems weird she seems to disappear off the face of the earth and only a handful of photos exist of her.

Thanks for the link. I just don't understand why there isn't more information out there and it makes me wonder if the story has been changed over the years especially since the dawn of the internet. An example is how Olive reunited with her brother Lorenzo after she was released by the Mohave and returned to a US base. No photos of her return or being reunited with Lorenzo exist or at least none that I can find even though it was reported that Lorenzo had assumed his sister was dead so being reunited was nationwide news. Despite that I can find no photos of Olive and Lorenzo together. Then she embarked on a tour across America with Lorenzo talking of her life with the Mohave which attracted attention because of her blue tattoo but no photos or documentation of this period exists either. I'm not suggesting this woman didn't exist but I wonder/worry that history has been distorted about her lifetime possibly for the financial gain and the worst part is there is no real way of knowing.
