Also of the illustration (maybe not this one, but similar) in the 'Time-Life Science Library' book "The Cell" my brothers and I grew up reading. Yes -- this was far, far simpler than the new model pictured above, but the cell parts and structures I remember from the old illustrations are still easily recognizable in the new.Wow! It reminds me of the pictures of cells we had to draw in jr and at high school for biology classes. And by “remind” I mean of course not even close! Amazing! Little factories of life.
I really dont know why, but this reminds me of a nut cracker my parents once had that looked like a duckNeeded a bit of a jump start.
