That is an awesome photo of the cormorant. That is one of the best and most dynamic-looking shots of a bird or other wildlife that I've seen posted in the forums in a while! Well done!

Our library had a Star Wars event tonight, they had Star Wars arts and crafts. They had snacks, tie fighters made out of crackers and cheese and R2D2 sugar cookies. They were also playing Clone Wars Lost Missions on the TV.

We got our holiday photos taken yesterday, our first as a family. I still cannot believe how much Amelia has grown in the last 9 months.

We got our holiday photos taken yesterday, our first as a family. I still cannot believe how much Amelia has grown in the last 9 months.

She's so adorable, fantastic holiday family pictures. Picture People, right? We also use them for our pictures, we've used that background for ours too.

Man, I'm tired. I spent the day cleaning and baking; hubby is having his two adult nephews and his best pal over for gaming tonight.

I made these bad boys--something I saw on Pintrest and decided to try my own version. It's little pretzel squares with a melted caramel candy and a pecan on top. I used Rolos--put them on the pretzels on a non-stick sheet--about 300 F-after about 2 minutes, they get soft enough--take them out and gently press a pecan into them. Then put in fridge, so they harden back up. HOW COW, do they taste good! (file under:thisiswhyI'mfat.com)


Also baked up about 16 super-moist chocolate fudge cupcakes, filled with vanilla icing. Not the prettiest things ever, but pretty tasty, I hope.

Thanks! And yes, Picture People. We had a Groupon that got a nice package for $15. We splurged and upgraded to the 5-photo framed piece and the high res digital CD for another $100. Definitely worth it to have the files that we can print later.
