We celebrated May the Fourth Be With You a day early. Ian, Aaron and I spent the afternoon watching all the episodes of Star Wars Rebels back to back, in costume. Aaron is our nefarious Stormtrooper. Ian is the Master of Evil, Darth Vader.

Ah, the kids have turned to the Dark Side. It happens even in the best of families. 
As a little boy I played Han or Luke, but there was always a part of me that preferred to be Darth Vader or a Stormtrooper.

And their toys and costumes are so much cooler than the Star Wars stuff our generation had to play with that I'm almost, ALMOST, jealous.

When I was a little kid in the late '70s and early '80s our Star Wars costumes and toys were never that screen-accurate, I can tell you that!

@DataHolmes I use a Canon 70D, usually with an 18-135mm lens. My first camera was from Canon's Rebel series (T2i), which served me very well as an introductory camera (I think they're up to the T6i now). But I wanted something a bit sturdier and more versatile, so I upgraded to the 70D which has been fabulous, given the tens-of-thousands of shots I've taken with it in 18 months. The lens (which I also used with the T2i) is a great walkabout lens, giving me the chance to get some great wide-angle shots, and enough zoom to get me close enough to just about anything I need in the city (though, it's insufficient for wildlife and sports-action shots).

Are you planning on having her babysit in the house or her space?
Are you aware how they are going to insulate the garage? I would recommend to have them spray foam the garage ceiling and at least batt insulation in the walls. Plus an insulated garage door. Spaces above garages tend to be colder. With your MIL being older, effects them even more. In our house on Long Island, we had to rip down the ceiling in the garage and replace the insulation with spray foam. It was just to cold in my sons room.
