Oh man, I can't believe they actually did that. IMO that's way to predictable for me to even be able to like it.I'm going to put this in spoiler tags just in case, since I don't post in this forum often and I'm not sure how sensitive such things are up here...Do we know yet if it's a boy or a girl? Because if it's a boy I'm waiting for the novel where Jean-Luc sits Little Picard down, and breaks the news to him that he'll most likely be bald by his 18th birthday.
According to Star Trek Online: The Needs of the Many, Jean-Luc and Beverly had a son: Rene Jacques Robert Francois Picard. And apparently he ends up marrying the daughter of Will and Deanna, which is kind of eye-roll worthy. Though I'll admit that I was expecting something like that to happen.

I never saw Sarek as a bad father. He was a typical stubborn Vulcan. Estranged from Spock for a time, yeah. But obviously still loved him (in a Vulcan way).
