Picard wine

Well while here at work I just finshed the episode where Picard goes home. Sorry i can' remember the name. Anyway, I am a wine drinker and wondered if the is a Picard wine. Sure enough, there are several of them in Europe. I found one that was named Cheateau Picard. Could this be what that wine is supposed to be??

It's my understanding it's a fictional vintage. However there may be a Picard winery now. That's cool if it's an intentional homage. I' m at work now, but somewhere on my computer at home I have a nice printable paper prop for the label. If anyone's interested I'll upload it and post it here.
Last year I printed it and affixed it to a wine bottle as a gift for a friend and he really got a kick out of it. :bolian:

Picard grew up in LaBarre. Google tells me that there is a real one, is in Haute-Saone area of France. Not a major wine-producing area as far as I know, though Burgundy is to the west, Alsace to the East and Jura to the south.

Chateau Picard is a red, IIRC, so I'd guess it's a Pinot Noir with similar characteristics to Burgundy.

Somebody did this as part of a centerpiece display the Creation's NY con in March.

I think they said they re-created it from screenshots.
