Picard vs Sisko

I doubt Picard would've remained on the station during the Circle siege. He probably would've willingly turned it over to the Bajorans. No more SF on DS9. It'd be quite different, IMO.

Nah, look at Insurrection. ...Never mind - no one should be forced to. How about "Ensign Ro" where he defies his superior's orders to get to the truth? I don't know how that whole scenario would have worked out...maybe he'd hold a diplomatic summit on the station and use the time to uncover the Kressari smuggling for the Cardassians plot, but at the end of the day, he wouldn't abandon the Bajorans anymore than Sisko could. If only because they both had a 7-year contract on the show.

Sisko in the Nexus...what the hell would that be like? What kind of rapport would he and Kirk develop? Or with the rest of his bridge crew? Would he command the Enterprise when he was Picard's age? Otherwise, wouldn't he be younger than Riker? I wonder if he and Data would have been weird pals. I can see him getting a kick out of Data's unique personality and depending on his steadfast gumption and brilliance.

About Wesley...when TNG ran, I just thought of him as a regular kid, after a fashion, and not this wunderkind. But as a wunderkind, and for a moment considering him going down a darker path, I'm picturing him an Nog doing more of what Nog and Jake did with the stembolts - initially just getting into mischief. I can see the two of them taking over some abandoned ore-processing bay and forming a base of operations from which to do increasingly more eyebrow-raising stuff. At some point, Wesley goes all mad scientist and starts conducting experiments while Nog's busy spending cash they earned on latinum threaded suits and females at Quark's. Wesley comes across old Cardassian programs and research...somewhere I see Pah-wraiths and ruptures in the space-time continuum coming about.

Picard against the Dominion?

The man could barely stand even playing war games in 'peak performance'.
Picard would surrender half the federation to the dominion in a treaty rather than open fire on dominion ships, and then pat himself on the back about 'what a good job he's done' - until the dominion would move and easily conquer the other half, that is.

Sisko in command of Enterprise.
What were the major events on TNG?

It would be interesting to seehow he would have dealt with the borg invasion.
During the klingon civil war, he (and the federation) would have seen Duras as a terrorist and would most definitely militarily side with Gowron - rather than risk Duras win, and the resulting klingon romulan alliance start a war with the federation.
In 'I, Hugh' he would have used Hugh to attack the collective with the paradox virus.
In 'Homeward' he would have acted to save the threatened sentient species.

During the attack by the Borg at Wolf 359, Jennifer and Jake would have been safe aboard the massive
Enterprise D, Benjamin on the other hand would have been assimilated by the Borg.

The episode Family would have taken place in a restaurant in New Orleans, not a county house in the French
wine country.

Do you have ANY idea how hungry this post made me? I need some of that Sisko cookin'.

Because Picard doesn't go "camping" the galaxy-class USS Odyssey isn't destroyed.

Oh, I don't know about that, Picard does enjoy his horse rides...
