Picard: Status of the Enterprise?

I don't think Enterprise took significant damage from ramming. Scimitar seemed to be made out of aluminium.
She looks pretty beat up to me...

Though they did show her in drydock being repaired at the end of the movie.

what are you talking about?
Apparently, a completely different topic.
Perhaps from a completely different thread?
There are so many new threads and posts every day that I got confused. It belongs to "Things that don't add up the TNG edition"

seriously, though, the entire saucer survived. That's still a very large bit of real estate, you'd figure Starfleet would find SOME use for it.
And they should recover it from Veridian III before anyone from a neighboring planet with a telescope finds it ;)

STO (which is semi-canon)

No, it isn't.

STO's internal continuity exists solely for the game. It's not binding on anything else - not the novelverse (although there has been exactly one novel, The Needs Of The Many, which takes STO into account), and certainly not onscreen.

If we do see the E, I expect at the very least that the primary hull will look different.
She did take a hell of a beating crashing into Scimitar.

Well, for the most powerful and advanced "Flagship" of Starfleet, Ent-E was so outgunned if compared to Scimitar. And that was 20 or so years ago, against a random ragtag mercenary band in Nemesis. So, isn't it more logical to Starfleet to relegate the Sovereign Class status from Flagship and develop newer, more advanced, and more powerful ship for their Flagship after that?

Yes, Enterprise E was not (officially) a warship. But she's the symbol of Federation Strength in Space. The symbol of Deterrent in Diplomacy, and the best answer from Starfleet if Federation ever get threatened from outside world. So being outgunned by a ragtag mercenary band warship would tarnish Federation name, Thus can endanger the whole Federation influence and deterrent in the galaxy.

If a single Shinzon can build a starship like Scimitar, then what can Klingon, Romulan, Cardassia etc (who has more resource than Shinzon) could build their own version of Scimitar?

The Scimitar was defeated and blew up, the Enterprise-E survived and won (so to speak), so the final verdict might need to be reviewed there.

But it was also the fact that the Enterprise-E was outgunned. They won because depend entirely to plot shield. Without that, Enterprise-E would lost and destroyed.

My head-canon says that the Tal Shiar was involved in the construction of the Scimitar. How else could the Remans have built something as big and powerful without Romulus knowing about it ;)

Why would the Tal Shiar need to keep the Scimitar's construction a secret from the Romulans?
