My vote would be YES, provisionally, to check up on him. Q always did think of Picard as a friend and this evolution in their relationship would be nice for me to see. I'm not saying Picard likes Q and wants him dropping by, but the Q in 'All Good Things' did help Picard & Humanity, and I can see him wanting to check in with Picard, whether Picard likes it or not.

I'd actually love to see this, especially when played again by John de Lancie, so I voted "yes".

Only problem would be that Q basically can't get older physically and well, John de Lancie doesn't really look nowadays as he did in TNG of course.

CGI. Between "Rogue One" that used CGI for Peter Cushing and Carrie Fisher (which was rather good, all things considered) and now, the technology will have improved and would be cheaper to get at. Even at RO's quality, it's sufficient.

100 percent he should appear. And he can make some wise crack about his age, and then say he's appearing older just to make his old friend feel better.

Q can take on any form, so why not an older DeLancie?

And why would Q ever leave Picard alone?

Ooooh, good point! Q looking older just to mock Picard sardonically. It's very much in character...

I posted this long ago, and will keep re-posting it as long as there is demand. Q can look however he wants, for whatever reason he wants. As always, it's to JLP's detriment...

This keeps getting brought up, and I keep saying the same thing: there's no reason why DeLancie can't reprise his Q role. He can make himself look any age for any reason. He could even throw in a jab and say
"Why, my dear Jean Luc, I chose this appearance to show you what aging gracefully actually looks like."

And given that Stewart likely has creative control over the series, I would think he'd be the first to call up DeLancie to see if he's interested.

Yes. I loved John DeLancie, and nobody else as Q really made an impact to me. He is first and one real Q, at the same time playful, harsh and determined to teach humans a lesson.
