Hi everybody,
I'm a director/editor and I recently shot a new PSA for the ACLU featuring Ms. Nichols. She recalls her interaction with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. when he asked her to stay on Star Trek rather than quit. We have archival photos of MLK to use in the spot, but would very much like a photo of her and MLK together -- if such a photo exists. Does anyone know? If there is a photo of the two of them together, where would we find it? We're editing the spot now and would like to know soon.
Much thanks,
John K.

As the guy behind TrekCore.com's Rare Photo specials...
If such exists, it's the most elusive photograph known to Trekdom.
I've never even heard whispers of such existing.

I'd love to see such, though.
As to the veracity of Nichelle's story...
...After 40 damned years, I doubt even she can say with 100% certainty that it occurred. What is undeniable is that she, through Trek as a whole, played a key role in making sure the generation who grew up in the 60s and beyond didn't look at blacks the same way most of their parents did. Trek did a hell of a lot to educate the next generation.
If it happened, if it didn't... it's a little moot, isn't it? I doubt 98% of things can be proved. You can't even prove what you had for dinner last Thursday, in most cases, can you?
