Sonim's idea for the 'world's most rugged phone'--a sturdy phone that can be dropped from 10 stories, stepped on, submerged in water, and more--is a good one. However, it deserves a spot among the most ridiculous gadgets at CES 2010 because of one significant mishap: a BBC reporter was caught live, on tape, accidentally breaking the 'unbreakable' phone (while the flabbergasted Sonim CEO looked on: "You've actually broken the phone," he laughs.
